The Merkava Mk. 4’s ingame weigh only 65 tons when official IDF videos and recent news articles state they should weigh closer to 80 tons.

Both the title and at 0:36 the Merkava Mk. 4 is stated to weigh 80 tons. A Merkava mk. 4M is in the background. Official IDF channel.

Also states (at 2:30) that the Merkava Mk. 4 weighs 80 tons. A Merkava mk. 4 without Trophy APS is in the background. Video appears to be a reposted IDF video since the editing is similar to the previous video.

News article from 2006 talking about tank transporters mentions the following:
בן הרוש מציין כי החקיקה האחרונה הגבילה את משקל המוביל הישראלי ל-50 טון, וכי היא מביאה אל קצה את התקופה שבה ניתן” להעמיס שני נגמ"שים על מוביל, או אפילו טנק מרכבה אחד השוקל 80 טון”
“Harush Has limited the weight of the Israeli carrier to 50 tons, and that it brings to an end the period in which two APCs can be loaded on a carrier, or even one chariot tank weighing 80 tons”

The only ‘chariot tank’ that could weigh 80 tons is the Merkava mk. 4.

In addition, all current Merkava series weights are incorrect.

According to the IDF document, the MK.1/2 should weigh 56 tons and the MK.3 should weigh between 59 and 61 tons.

 

Historical errors related to Merkava 1/2/3 have already been reported to the dev team by me.
