A further update 14.09.2017:

Hi All,

I'll keep this short. The end is in sight: three more weeks and I'll be back.

I'll let you know how it goes.

  • 1 month later...

I'm back, and here's a full explanation as to what happened and what's to come. Plus, we get to see that even four years on, the Spitfire Mk. Ia is as good as it always has been:

Spitfire Mk. Ia - Back Online

As stated in the video, next week there will be at least one review of one of the new French aircraft...perhaps even two! :)

Welcome back!

Thank you! And now let's begin...

Update 12.11.2017:

Seeing as you've all been so patient with me, here are two reviews of two of the new, low Battle Rating French fighters.

First up, we have that premium fighter known as the D.371 H.S.9:

D.371 H.S.9 - The Cannon Conundrum

Following that, we have perhaps the one Fighter that will be heavily over-looked: the C.R.714 (if you love your history, you'll love hearing about this plane!):

C.R.714 - The Graceful Cyclone

Do enjoy folks! Next week? Another French Fighter review, most likely the D.501.

Until then, take care and good luck in the skies! :)

These planes are not "best in class". But as you show, their weaknesses help hone good flying skills. Suggestions for reviews: the Potez 630, which I think actually is best in class; and the plane that for many French enthusiasts is an icon, the D520.

Thus far, I concur with your assessment. French planes are proving to be what I like to refer to as a "professional's aircraft" - they allow the player to hone their technique and appreciate the different aspects of dogfighting.

Thank you for your suggestions; responding in turn:

- Potez 630 - I have spaded this aircraft and it is the next plane I shall be reviewing

- D.520 - It is on the list of planes to review, my current intended sequence is Potez 630; Arsenal VG-33 and D.520

Update 19.11.2017:

Another week passes us by, and here is another review. This week we take a look at the Dewoitine D.501!

D.501 - Home Advantage

Next up: the Potez 630. Stay classy guys - 4 weeks until Christmas and I do indeed have something special planned for you all! :)
