Thanks for posting the guide, looking forward to seeing more.

Couple of points if I may.

Firstly, when discussing guns and ammo can you mention your convergence. Secondly, when recording can you use an ammo belt with a tracer round. It' makes it easier to see when you open fire in your zoomed view and how you aim relative to the lead indicator.

Lastly may I suggest may I suggest a small video on you "Head On" technique. You had several good kills and avoided damage. Impressive from a plane with wing mounted guns.

Cheers

I've used 500m for a long time, but most top pilots I know run 800. I've tried the latter recently, and I frankly don't notice that much of a difference. As for tracer rounds, I'll use what works best for the particular gun. In the case of brownings, stealth was definitely the wrong choice but I realized that too late. If you want to see where I aim, you only need to see where the blank circle (denoting where my mouse is pointed) is located relative to the lead indicator.

As for a head on video, I'm the wrong guy. My aim is atrocious, especially in headons. Flip has a good one if you want to go check that out. The only tip I can give is to practice knowing:

a) the velocity of your guns

b) the angle of approach (generally the rule is to aim higher if the enemy is higher, and lower if they are lower)

c) the intentions of your enemy. A lot of guys will just go full commit, so if you have an overwhelming advantage in armament or position, you can abuse that (eg a biplane vs a 190) or react accordingly and get out of the way. Some others will try to snap roll away--if you see that, some will continue to snap roll past the merge, so take that opportunity to keep shooting at them. If their intention is to roll then mirage at super close range, be aware of that and make sure you're not in the way.

To review, the 3 basic headon techniques used by players are:

1) the full commit, I'll ram you if I have to technique--generally these players are either bad, heavily damaged, or aware that the best chance they have against a superior pilot is in the joust

2) the evasive guys--they'll start going evasive at fairly long distances, or even avoid the headon altogether. These guys tend to be higher in skill level, or at least more passive than #1 players

3) the mirage monkeys--they'll mirage on you at around 0.4 km after doing a couple of snap rolls. By far the most annoying to fight. Skill level is usually a mixed bag with these guys. The cleaner the mirage, the better the player. The best will just do a quick flick (or multiple) to mirage, while worse pilots will just kind of do a mouse barrel roll. I'm guilty of the latter a lot of the time haha

Ok, here is my review:

After playing with them for more than 52 hours on Arcade Mode. I can safely say:

The Me 262 and all its variants are ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!!!!

The first two should be at least 5.3, the third one should be a 5.7 and the last one should be a 6.0

Go ahead and disagree with me.

Hope you have a very good time getting your 7.3 flying brick eviscerated by 9.3 cold war jet fighters.

Messed up the other day buying the I-153p Chaika. I'd remembered people talking about how fun it was, so even though I have better SL grinding lineups and most of the Soviet tree, I figured, eh, why not?

Well, here's why not. At some point in the years since the Chaika developed its "fun" reputation, the belts were changed so it is now utterly toothless. I usually run tracers on Shvaks, finding the FI-T to be less bad than most, and I know by reputation that most people think ground targets are the best.

Neither of those are an option on the cannon Chaika. The HEF are a bad joke. Do not buy.''

EDIT: Lol stealth nevermind disregard this
