How to setup the Internet Radio Guide

  • 1 month later...
  • 2 weeks later...

Hi guyz !

i've read all the topic and tried to apply CaptMytre explainations but i cant find the correct port to my radio which is : http://www.ledjamradio.com

I've tried to enter this address into "internet radio url" http//:195.154.201.50:8000 but nothings working.

I've tried some italians radios and thats immediatly ok, so i guess the "8000" port is not correct for my radio.

(I put that port as it was written in CaptMyTre example, could not find any port after pinging my radio station).

If someone can take a while to help me that would be great.

By the way, try my web french radio, thats just great !!

Thanks in advance for next help.

:)

Hey all o/

Went through this thread, set up radio just fine, got all my favorite 20's 40's stations working exept one thing.

Each time I restart client all my stations exept the selected one are going "by by"

This is an example of global.blk radio section after i edit my stations:

    internet_radio_stations{
      station{
        name:t="UK 40's Radio Jazz 1"
        path:t="http://149.255.59.162:8064"
        name:t="US 20's Radio Jazz"
        path:t="http://209.9.238.5:8570"
        name:t="WWII Radio"
        path:t="http://listen.radionomy.com:80/WW2-Radio"
      }

and this is the same snipet after a client restart :

   internet_radio_stations{
      station{
        name:t="UK 40's Radio Jazz 1"
        path:t="http://149.255.59.162:8064"
      }
    }

Thanks in advance.

That happens to me too. Rather annoying. I suspect it is a bug, this forgetting stations, but I don't know for sure.

You cant do it with Youtube, I just tried to, but it doesn't copy the IP for youtube. Maybe because its videos?

You can't use MP3 aswell, it have no effect. YET Maybe we can get Gajin to make it paussible to use MP3 files?? or do you agree that??

Encontrei uma maneira de fazer o player de rádios online do jogo funcionar. Vamos lá:

1 - Acesse o site http://www.shoutcast.com e escolha uma estação do seu gosto;

2 - Clique na seta para baixo, ao lado direito do botão play e selecione o download m3u;

3 - Vá até onde o arquivo foi salvo e mude a extensão dele para txt (sugiro acessar as opções de pasta no windows e desmarcar a opção "Ocultar extensões dos tipos de arquivos conhecidos"),

4 - Abra o arquivo com a nova extensão (no bloco de notas) e note que podem existir várias URLs e portas;

5 - Copie a primeira URL. No meu caso http://108.61.73.119:8000 (para 181.fm). Mesmo que a URL começar com "shttp://" provavelmente funcionará com "http://";

6 - No War Thunder clique em Menu > Opções de jogo > Rádio na internet;

7 - Na caixa "Usar como música de jogo" marque a opção Sim;

8 - Clique em "Adicionar estação". Insira um nome no campo "Nome da rádio" e o endereço copiado do arquivo txt no campo "O URL para a rádio". Após isso clique em adicionar estação.

9 - Aguarde alguns segundos e se a música não começar a tocar verifique a opção "Usar como música de jogo" desmarcando e remarcando novamente a opção "Sim". Verifique também os volumes em Menu > Opções de jogo > Som;

10 - Caso não funcione volte até a etapa 4 e selecione uma outra URL no arquivo txt.

Você pode inserir mais rádios no player repetindo as etapas listadas acima.

This isn't the problem the problem is that it is impossible to add more than one radio in the Steam version
(sorry my english is sooooo bad)

Works ok for me but I ran into the trouble of duplicated stations.
Two are working OK but the third I had it messed up but the game is not allowing me to delete it. Can you tell me where in the game files is located the radio playlist so I can edit it myself, it constantly gets in the way when changing stations.

To add radio to your game "Add station - name  it -" but in the URL you'll put 'http://**.***.*.***:????" The first http, the IP, and what ever the last 4 numbers are. To find the IP, open your CMD, type 'ping 40sukradio.co.uk' it will give you the IP. once you have that. go back, click the little ".pls" file it should show you the last 4 digits needed. put those all together in the URL and you got tuneage for your tonage

I can confirm, it does work.

I recommend you download winamp here : http://meggamusic.co.uk/winamp/Winamp_Download.htm

then just download the .pls file from the websites mentionned in the first comment, open them using winamp, right click somewhere to get the file info and you will find the link with the port.

An example of a rock radio you can put in your game, is:

http://139.162.245.57:8251/stream

please don't click the link if you have headphones, the volume is probably maxed out.

you need to setup 3 keys for the radio to work and to be able to switch radio, I recommend using F5, F6 and F7 keys.

We all have different taste in music.

http://s6.voscast.com:10922/

This is San Fransisco 70's hit radio.

You can use it to test internet radio feature in WT.

You can find any radio station on the websites mentionned in the comments above this post or on other pages.

Does the internet radio still work? I cant figure out what to do. The guide is not exactly very clear on what you have to do

Is there a specific reason you need the in-game internet radio?  It's probably better to use an external one.  i.e. a browser window if you're on PC/Mac.  (Not sure if consoles can do background browser windows). Or a separate device (i.e. tablet/mobile).

I used to use the in-game internet radio many years ago, but found it buggy, so switched to a web browser and it works way better.

Otherwise, which part of the guide/setup isn't working for you?
