Tank controls vs aircraft controls

Yesterday (Sun, 8Jun14), I modified a few tank controls. Then went to fly in tankbattles and my flight controls did not work at all. Went back into airbattles test flight and not working there either. Previously I could go between airplanes and tanks with no problems.

Now I discovered my joystick settings all same as tank controls!!!! How did that happen? I had tank controls tab chosen when changes were made.

Now I must go thru all my flight controls again and reset because I had not saved them in a while. (my fault).

 

Anyone else experience this problem?

I can't really help you, I am not a joystick user, but maybe try resting the controls to default and then reset them again?

Could it be that ou use Mouse aim or simplified on tanks, and Full controls on planes? If so you just need to switch back to full controls in control menu.

They have from the time they added tanks needed to seriously split up tank and plane controls to eliminate confusion. Too much overlap, you don't remotely use the controls the same way for tanks as you do planes.

Try to set up it in the way, no keys and controls will interfere with each other. I fly with joystick and full controls, but drive with simplified, all in one controls profile with no problem, I just switch from full to simplifield and vice versa when flying/driving. Also always have your joystick plugged in, even when you are going to drive tanks only, or it will mess your controls settings.
