This Assault Gun was based on the T-100 chassis in 1940, only 1 was built and tested. The hull of the SU-100Y used the torsion bar suspension due to the experience the Kirov Factory had with them. It also mounted the 130 mm B-13 naval gun. This unit weighed 60 tonnes and was powered by the 12-cyl Mikulin dieselengine GAM-34BT 850hp and had a road speed of 45 km/h. It had a crew of 6 and was manufactured at both Kirov Factory and Ishorskyi Factory. The maximum armor was 60 mm at the front.

The assault gun was bought to Kubinka  in the summer of 1940 and in November 1941 during the Battle of Moscow both the SU-100Y and the SU-14 (armed with the 152 mm) were pressed into service. I am yet to find any data on the use of the SU-100Y. I also assume that this Assault gun used the B-13 naval gun with the 2.7 mm grooves as there were three grooved types and the ammunition could not be interchanged between the three.

These specs are taken from the B-13 2.7 mm grooves.

B-13 with large grooves
SAP, HE, HE-FRAG, AA - 2855 fps (870 mps)
Diving - 780 fps (238 mps)
Starshell - 2215 fps (675 mps)
Anti-Radar - 2460 fps (750 mps)

Approximate barrel life: 1100 rounds

Working pressure: 3000 kg/cm2

Gun recoil: 19.68 to 19.88 in (50 to 50.5 cm)

Will get more data when I find it.

I think we have enough mass-produced vehicles yet to be added, especially for Russia to warrant this at the moment.

I agree, just putting it out here so players can have their say. :Ds :salute:

Was it built?

If yes, then add it as a premium.

If not, then my vote is no.

Edit: Read more carefully. Add that sucker in :D

I really would enjoy this in the game. I mean, I can understand (somewhat) why people would be disinclined to think the same but at the end of the day, this is nothing gamebreaking. The gun is huge, sure and it's not very slow.. but that's pretty much where the upsides stop. It's massive (JagdTiger commanders know how much of a downside that is), it's armour is negligible at anything over tier II, also. The velocity of the rounds aren't fantastic either. One thing missing is a penetration table, perhaps OP could dig around and find one?

I've always felt like this would be another great Tier IV premium, along with the current SU-122P.

No, thank you.

It's enough we have KV-2 on steroids. This thing was not made to fight tanks, it has no place in a game about fighting tanks.

KV-2 at least seen combat - this one did not.

Not to mention that it's wearing a World of Tanks stigma - but even if it wouldn't - I still would vote no.

So a tank that's in WoT can't be in WT then is what you're saying? Welp, time to get rid of pretty much everything. We got things that have seen less combat than the SU-100-Y in the game, I'm sure we will get it.

You are wrong. The SU-100Y has actually seen combat.

No it did not.

It was only put into an Artillery Division for a special use, but there's no record of it actually firing even a single shell in combat.

It was actually in active service tho.

As far as I know Bearcats haven't fired a single shot at enemy aircraft either.

Neither have Tigercats iirc?

A single prototype. In a desperate move. And again: It wasn't even used in a regular service, it was just supposed to be use for a special cases but there are no records confirming it was anywhere near an actual front line yet alone shelling the enemy.

It's completly different than Bearcat which was mass-produced, did see combat (not against enemy fighters, but it still did fire at the enemy), and was fully operational part of more than one air force in it's history. These to are completly different cases. They have absolutely nothing in common.

Tigercats seen combat in Korean War and shot down some North Korean fighters, so I have no idea what are you talking about.

Yeah, that's why Bearcat is in the main tree and SU-100Y should be a premium.
