NachtJagerX 10,074 Report post Posted January 27, 2015 (edited) WIP Model: DAR-10F "Bekas" (Snipe) Technical Description: Single-engine, low-wing close air support monoplane Short History: Further development of the DAR-10A, with a more powerful engine. The fuselage was elongated and the plane was made more aerodynamical. Many other changes were made, such as the addition of dive brakes. Due to the situation in Bulgaria, the development was protracted, and the prototype was ready for testing in March 1945. While displaying excellent characteristics, the plane was largely obsolete by the time it was ready for production. After several more test flights, it was grounded in the spring of 1945. The DAR-10F was to be displayed in the National Technical Institute's Aeronautics study, per request of constructor Tsvetan Lazarov. The plane was scrapped in the 1950s. Configuration: close air support/ground attack Production Status First flight: 1945Introduction year: N/A Status: cancelled, due to being obsolete by 1945, and the availability of big amounts of IL-2s. Blackart 4,984 Report post Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) It was inspired on PZL.43 if im not wrong. Shouldn't it be in Bombers section? Edited February 4, 2015 by Blackart
NachtJagerX 10,074 Report post Posted February 4, 2015 It was inspired on PZL.43 if im not wrong. Shouldn't it be in Bombers section? Well, at least according to my books it was never classified as a bomber.
Technical Moderator blockhaj 3,560 Report post Posted February 4, 2015 It is better suited for attacker than bomber. The bombload suck, but the gunner and armament makes it a good tier 1 ore possibly low tier 2 attacker.
