PanzerKriegs 83 Report post Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) Hello, I wanted to make this topic as a suggestion to the Gaijin Team (and I really hope they answer this) to add the Argentina Air Force (Fuerza Aérea Argentina) roundel, and the Argentine Naval Aviation insignia. These forces were one of the best of America and counted with the most feared pilots in the world, as you can see in the Malvinas War due to their tactics, also they had very nice draws of Patoruzu , a very popular cartoon character in Argentina. So I let you see some pictures and see how nice would the roundel would look. South America deserves to be in War Thunder at least in this way, as they also fought bravely in WWII. At the WWII time, a real Argentine Air Force did not exist until 1945, pilots flew for the allied side, in british planes the most. Another interesting note, it's that Argentina researched the first jet in Latin America, the I.Ae.27 Pulqui I,aside with Meteors that were bought. Theredsunrising 312 Report post Posted February 18, 2015 Don't think the Fleet Air Arm was very afraid of them.
Comrade_Rory 654 Report post Posted February 18, 2015 The Argentinian roundel definitely should be in the game, along with every other air force roundel... But I wouldn't say they were particularly feared during the Falklands war in the slightest.

PanzerKriegs 83 Report post Posted February 18, 2015 Why post a video that shows the falklands war? That is because Malvinas War was the only real conflict Argentina took part in the XX century.

Comrade_Rory 654 Report post Posted February 19, 2015 Im sorry if i did offend you, Im from Argentina and Malvinas is the right way to name it to me. It can be a sensitive subject. It's still a war in living memory for a lot of people and many Argentinians on the internet tend to come right out with the pretty nationalistic view of how their "brave soldiers fought against the evil British to reclaim their land". As you can imagine, this can piss a few people off because... well to put it bluntly, the entire Argentinian claim on the islands is a farce and that farce claimed lives on both sides. You could have just mentioned the Falklands war but the video and picture of the Argentinian flag over the Falklands pushed it into the territory of that ^

I would remove that drawing of the Daggers as well, seeing as that is a drawing of the run that damaged either the Broadsword or the Antrim at San Carlos Water. QuarterNinjaCM 16,882 Report post Posted February 19, 2015 Thanks for pointing to this. We did have some articles like this one: http://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/122673-argentina-in-the-second-world-war/ but it definitely seems Roundel is missing and was not included in the game. I will personally see to it that we publish article about Argentine Air Force and include decal or two.
