If anyone can help me translate the manual, it would be appreciated. I am trying to find information on the MiG-17 roll rates, virage times, etc.

  • 3 months later...

Didn't Gaijin say that they wouldn't add aircraft with afterburners?

This means that only the first variant could be added, which would not be very different from the Mig-15s we already have ingame.

Because being overall faster with superior maneuverability overall at the cost of acceleration is not a virtually direct upgrade to its predecessor.

I'd like to see this added so US can get the F4D Skyray and F-11 Tiger ;)

Both of those had afterburners and were supersonic

Both of those had afterburners and were supersonic

The first F-11F flew without afterburner.

Since the afterburning version of the J65 was not ready, the first prototype flew on 30 July 1954 with a non-afterburning engine. In spite of this, the aircraft nearly reached Mach 1 in its maiden flight. The second prototype, equipped with the afterburning engine, became the second supersonic U.S. Navy aircraft, the first being the Douglas F4D Skyray. In April 1955, the aircraft received the new designation F11F-1 (F-11A after adoption of the unified Tri-Service naming system in 1962). Carrier trials started on 4 April 1956 when an F11F-1 Tiger landed on and launched from USS Forrestal.

Fun fact it's also the first jet to shoot itself down. Edited by Stryker232

Mr. CEO said planes can go up to the '60s.

Ill take your Mig17 and play my Thunder Chief :D

The devs do not want aircraft that were supersonic because of the game engine

And which one they are supposed to add if theyre going to 1960?

Almost all planes in 1960 were supersonic.

True and other things is the one problem how does this game engine handle supersonic speeds? Because by this time bullets were all ready breaking the speed of sound.

they're getting the yak-30

Would very much rather have the Yak-25 instead of the failed Yak-30 prototype
