I play WT with Steam and when i click ''play'' nothing happens

Since yesterday's night i couldnt launch war thunder, i click the play button on the launcher and nothing happens! i dont know what to do, if anyone can help...I've lost two prem days already

 

Btw: I already: repaired the game in the launcher and steam, restarted my PC and my internet and it still doenst work, other games are working just fine.

 

PC specs:

 

Gtx 760

 

I5 4670K

 

16GB ram

I think I have something similar with steam. Mine always works the second time I press Play. You can also look for "aces.exe" to start the game without steam. It is in your steam folder, in SteamApps>common>War Thunder.

I've had that happen before: stared at a lovely black screen until I realized something was wrong

guys my war thunder isnt installed on steam and it doesnt run when i press play in the client and when i try to run aces.exe it says i dont have the permission even though im the administrator.I have tried everything i could find on the internet but nothing worked.Im going crazy because i play War thunder daily and i cant live without it lol.If someone can help me in any way i will very much appreciate it.

looks like YAC (Yet another cleaner) is causing issues with the game atm but there

may be other tools as well... if you dont have YAC installed you may try a clean boot

The worst one that I have, is when I use Push to Talk on Teamspeak, set to another key (I have a Logitech G510S) the game, if loading, will stop, close, and exit without a single mention of what happened if I press PTT anywhere between the launcher, and actually being ingame.

 

 

If I'm in the game, or anything else, it's fine.... Just between the launcher and the game itself, it'll close without reporting it.

 

 

 

Maybe you have a key stuck or something...

in this case the aces.exe may have been snatched by the anti virus software. you should check the logs

or the virus chest/container/quarantine in your anti virus software to see if the aces.exe got removed by

the anti virus software.

 

you may as well check the pc.zip archive in the game folder since it should contain the game executables

(aces.exe, pcnsl.exe, bpreport.exe and awesomium_process.exe) - if any of those executables is missing

in the pc.zip file it got removed by the anti virus software most likely.

 

if this happened you can either wait for an update on your anti virus software (hopefully whitelisting the 

game executables) or at your own discretion and risk (temporarily) disabling the anti virus software before

starting the launcher or add the War Thunder game folder to the exception list in your anti virus sofware.

I also tried deleting the cache then re-verified the integrity of the game cache and that didnt work either. Its on the list of accepted apps on my anti-virus software

too so thats out. I am at the end of my rope and i about to call a PC tech which is expensive. I love warthunder and play it everyday,I have over 500+ hours and its

the main feature of my youtube channel too.

 

I have heard i can do a clean boot but its risky and complicated.

Hey there thanks for the help, the second solution has allowed me to play WT again :)
But i can only launch it via the ace.exe now lol just wandering if ya know how to fix that too?

 

Also yes i was getting the permission error code while directly in the folder.

anything =/ so it's basically down to the devs and other users to either find a fix

i have the permission problem too but when i try to change the name to the war thunder folder it doesnt allow me to cuz "another program is running the application or has oppened one of his files" even when i had closed every other program or folder that could be the one that does not leave to change the name of  the folder

Now I must say I am having the same issue. The Person that posted this forum is for the sounds of it a system builder "Like Me", there for they have access to PC Specs, Clock rates ETC.. I have had this issue countless times and it seems to happen after changing my cpu speed and other things before a micro update. The Aces.exe Application is in my case Crashing every time i click that play button. I will now post the System reliability files and screenshots on my profile page ASAP. If the forum creator has this feature on his version of windows on his PC i recamend that you find out if the Program is crashing and post your error files tow. To Prevent this problem from happening again. If there is a Work around of cores

what operating system are you using ?

 

if you are using Win7/8 (and most likely it still the same on Win10 ^^) you can disable the kernal debugger

by opening an elevated command prompt (win7: click on the windows start button, type  CMD  in the search

line, right-click the cmd.exe which should show up at the top of the search window then select 'run as admin-

istrator    on Win8/10 it's more easy even - you can just right-click the Windows start button and select 'command

prompt (Administrator)' from the menu) and enter the following command in the command prompt / dos box:

 

bcdedit /debug off

 

then restart the system when the command has been sucessfully executed.
