Here's mine.

Location = Phoenix, AZ, USA
Ping rate = 61
Connection type = Fiber to Neighborhood and coax to house
Internet provider = Cox - Premier Package 100mb down - 10mb up
War Thunder server used = US

Also, I've been getting a lot freezes since the release of War Thunder 1.61 (End of September).  Gaijin said I had severe connection issues and I should contact my ISP.  I contacted my ISP and no surprise, they said everything is fine.  Cox, my ISP, said that 71ms normal for a "hop" from Arizona to Georgia.

When i asked Cox about the 23 time outs of 30 from tracert host01lw-us.warthunder.com, they stopped responding.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate any advice!

those nodes (or routers if you like) are most likely configured to not respond on pings (ICMP packages).

as long as you get a decent latency / ping on the game servers there is nothing to worry about - many

internet nodes discard ICMP packages due to being 'irrelevant' traffic (reducing traffic as well) and maybe

also for security reasons.

i dont even know if the address host01lw-us.warthunder.com is still being used by War Thunder / Gaijin.

Location = Perth, Western Australia

Ping rates +/- 5 (depends on route but is consitant, most common ping is dictated by [square brackers])
US: 298, [320], 340

SA: 143, 220, [275], 360, 450

RU: 385, [395], 420
EU: 398, 435, [445], [485]

Connection type = Copper

Internet provider = TPG

War Thunder server used = SA/US/RU (because queue times on US are generally longer than RU and that SA is used in SB mode like what, once a year? lol

Wouldn't it be  better to simply use a poll instead with continent, 10msec steps for pings for each server, selected servers, preferred servers and have users type their own ISP  and specific location down?

Bit of a newbie question here, but how do you connect to other servers? I'm only on the US server at the moment (~250+ ms ping, in Australia). I only got around to downloading it today.

(The server I'm looking for is the SA server if that matters.

"TO PICK A SERVER"

At the top under "To Battle", is a drop down of the kinds of battles you like to play,

at the bottom you will find the servers you want to connect, EU, US, RU and SA,

click on one, then check or un-check the servers you want to play on.

I personally have them all checked to play.

I am in New Jersey, on the North Eastern Sea Coast USA.

Hope to see you in Battle, Good Luck.

Something happened to servers lately. This weekend it's unplayable.
location: Slovenia

ping: 400 EU server, higher all others

connection: fiber optics 100Mbit

internet provider: Siol (Telekom Slovenije)

ping to internet provider: 5

This game used to crash on me on a Mac. It got better after I decreased graphics .

Now I play on a modern windows laptop. 16GB ram, resolution 1920x1080, medium graphics, 60-100 FPS.

For the last 2 days it disconnects from the server about 50% of the time. Package loss is > 45%, which is unbearable.
I don't know why the company invests so little into the servers, for what is otherwise a very good game.

i've done some battles now (tanks and planes - AB) and they've been taking place on these IPs

207.244.116.4, 207.244.116.2 and 207.244.116.1

according to some reverse IP service those IPs are hosted by Leaseweb in Manassas / Virginia

When and if the connections to servers are verifed and stabilized, US server location in particular...can we please have a new roll call...thanks in advance:salute::popcorn:

Are we going to get double the ping on EU server every time we hit 69K players ?

my usual ping when there are 55K players online is ~ 100ms but on the weekend when WT hit 69K- 70K players I get around 200-250ms  ping , there is must something wrong with servers under high load .
