It's not about what he was associated with, but the talent his had.

Only respectful comments here, please?

He was really good at killing people he considered subhumans.

The Soviets, British, Americans, Japanese and anyone else involved in the conflict were just the same. There is no winner in war, Wittmann did what he did for his country, as any other person in the war did. He was no different aside from his talent.

Again, only respectful comments here.

I have no respect for mass killers.

Then I suppose you have no respect for anyone involved in WWII, Churchill, Stalin, Roosevelt.

I suppose you also have no respect for todays modern soldiers, that protect us from the threat of terror, and put their life on the line for their nation.

Again. If you have no respectful comments, don't comment.

I'll be honest I'm rather disgusted by the WarThunder community that people are actually leaving disrespectful comments.

Unbelievable.

I'm honestly just disappointed people could be so disrespectful in this community.

Faith in Humanity? Oh, that thing that just dissipated into thin air? Yeah, I stopped bothering about it.

It's funny that you talk about "respect for humanity" for a guy that killed hundreds and hundreds of soviet, and wich was engaged in a organization that killed millions of humans. Edited by Lord_Waka

Wittmann joined the Allgemeine SS before the war, he was not drafted into a SS Abteilung, he chose to serve with the SS at a time where you'd do that because of your racial beliefs and not because of an outside military pressure. A lot of people died, I'm not cheering any death but I'll certainly shed no tear for a pre-war SS volunteer; even if he was a capable tank commander.

"Holocaust was the worst thing that happened to mankind"

"I have no respect for mass killers"

"Allies did nothing but freed countries"

Getting fed up by this shit every day.

Buy me a keyboard. Your stupidity broke mine.

Allies had their war crimes and stupidity..

Red Army raped every civilians in every nation possible. Germans, Czechs, Slovakians, Poles, Ukrainians.

British army were HUGE traitors at the beginning of the war. France, Belgium & Netherlands, Czechoslovakia, Poland. That's quite a long list of countries betrayed, eh?

USA tortured and killed their war prisoners like if they were Hitler's clones. Rapes through the whole Pacific.

Japan? Unit 731.

It's funny you act like the Soviets did nothing wrong despite raping the entirety of Europe, and killing more people than the Third Reich in their progress.

Yes, by declaring war on Germany and fighting with the French against the Germans in France. Man, some really traitorous things we did there....

I mean if you'd brought up the Dam Busting, Dresden and Munich. Fair enough. But really? That was your best.

There are no innocents.

But I will forever disrepect the guys that killed hundreds, who cares about their name... Hitler or Stalin, NKVD or SS, they are all the same and they don't deserve any respect.

The fact is that we were not talking about soviets, so why would I talk about their crimes ?

1. Munich Betrayal Agreement. Basically, you've sent a war-ready country to death to save your and France's ass for another 2 years. Also, you gave Germans time to fix up their terrible armored forces.

2. I've never heard about supply convoys for Poland.

3. British Expeditionary Unit (one platoon containing few tanks). Is that help? I don't think so.

4. Preventive war never happened.

Poland? No, we'll wait.

Netherlands? No, we'll wait.

Belgium? Something's going on.

France? Too late.

Britain? BLOODY HELL, RECRUIT EVERYONE!

A limp prime minister trying to avoid another war without the foresight to know it's upon him. But obviously our fault that Germany wanted to invade and take over Europe, yup sorry guys. It was Britain's bad, not like the US or France or other nations were part of that agreement.

While we sent what we could to France to help yeah it didn't stop a war machine that had been built for years. Also yes we were so traitorous to Poland. 1939, Poland is invaded. Britain declares war on Germany because Poland was invaded, man we are some traitors right there!

Definitely we are the traitors... Limp wristed argument, almost as limp wristed as Neville Chamberlain

Topic that can just be left alone and not responded to turns into a debate of "the world's greatest politicians". I think I'm starting to notice a pattern here...

Seriously though, everyone knows what happened so why keep repeating it? You look like Soviet/Nazi/American/British/Japanese etc.  fanboys who are fighting some sort of WW 2.5 on the internet, it just looks stupid...

I am afraid you'll get none here. There are mostly propaganda-eating democracy loving a-holes who like to hate anything that has to do with WW2 Germany or USSR.

I will not hold a minute silence for a confirmed Nazi party member and follower of the Nazi ideology. There are far more respectable Germans who perished during WWII that are worth remembering than this monster.

British army were HUGE traitors at the beginning of the war. France, Belgium & Netherlands, Czechoslovakia, Poland. That's quite a long list of countries betrayed, eh?

As someone who's grandfather fought in the defence of the Netherlands during the German invasion and who's family had to live under German occupation. Shut up. Seriously shut up.

Britain declared war on Germany for the invasion of Poland, and after they took over the low countries and France, they were given the option of just surrendering and retaining their Empire in the world without any further bloodshed. And they turned it down because they wanted to stand by those nations that were illegally occupied. This gave the people in occupied territories hope that they may one day be free again.

And remember this is when the Germans haven't even invaded the Soviets, let alone had the US been involved. There is a reason that it is said that Britain Stands Alone.

You are ignorant or you are being a Nazi sympathizing edgelord. Either way I am telling you to show some respect and shut up.

Also I'd like to briefly quote something that should, in theory, be important:

  • 1.1.21. Any form of political or religious discussion liable to cause dissent.

I highly doubt US (neutral country at that time) would agree to it.

France was a part of the agreement. I typed that in already.

Should I destroy my keyboard because of your inability to read? I have never stated WW2 is your fault! Of course A.H. did want to take over Europe and exterminate every Jew/Muslim/Slav/Any other nation or religion. And of course WW2 would happen later.

Yes. You are the traitor. You have, basically, caused the WW2 as we know it. If you and France wouldn't be so lazy and weren't acting as traitors (that means attack on CzSR, preventive war), Germany would get stomped before 1940.

Well, I can only repeat what I said on Live. I don't think we should pay a minute of silence for a man who killed at least 550 tankmen and a not-to-be-estimated number of AT gun and armoured vehicle crewmen. No matter for which ideology he fought.
