Mainly criticizing the practices of the Soviets in their camps is primarily it I guess. Bubi doesn't contradict himself when he said that a few bad people should not justify a hatred for an entire population, but it's oddly suspicious that his name is not appreciated by Gaijin. Honestly, he's a man you'd definitely have a drink with.

nono tovarish: official stance is now: he said bad things about Glorious USSR in his biograpyh, thus unfit for russia! (but i bet if any Soviet Ace would have said things that'd make him unfit for use in the west: but tovarish, doesn't matter!"

Very interesting post. It's funny to see what Soviets did to the Germans after the war ended, especially to the women and children. No one talks about that.

I believe such things are usually implied. Still, Hartmann really did suffer there. Good thing he got out of there alive and returned to Germany.
