In the early 30-ies. in Soviet Union began intensive work on creation of different types of missiles. Soon,  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Agency_of_Automobiles_and_Tanks_of_the_Ministry_of_Defense_of_the_Soviet_Union noticed them and offered to install missiles at a tank. Installation on a tank additional missile was made to improve capacity of a tank in a fight against heavy enemy tanks and solve the problem of overcoming heavily fortified defense lines, individual centers of resistance and destruction of bunkers, pillboxes and other individual firing points.

 

In 1931 it was developed a 250-kg tank missile. The first successful firing with ground installations made in 1931-1932. Shooting was conducted plunging fire at short distances from 300 to 1800 meters. In October 1933 I.A.Halepski, chief of GABTU, gave the task to develop the project of installing 250-kg tank missile on fast-moving tank BT-5. Proposed to install 250-kg missile's power explosive action was not inferior to the projectile of 305 mm gun. Based on the tactical and technical requirements, in the R&D department of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malinovsky_Military_Armored_Forces_Academy military engineer Tverskoy developed two projects of missile tank: a single installation of 250 kg missile and twin installation of 250 kg missile. As a result of consideration of the project it was recognized as a preferable second variant: light wheeled-caterpillar tank with two missiles, the designation RBT-5.

RBT-5 project was finalized at the end of 1933, the main armament - 45-mm tank gun - was preserved.

The prototype rocket launcher produced at the Moscow plant number 37, and its mounting on the tank was carried out at the Kharkiv Locomotive Plant. Riveted construction launcher was made by type of farm, collected from U-sections. Each missile's tail part was mounted to guide sleeve. Balancing the installation was carried out by a special spring mechanism. Guidance installation in a vertical plane made from the inside of the machine with handle special hoist, that had two assists.Horizontal guidance is provided by rotating the turret. The maximum elevation of 48 ° allowed to hit a variety of targets at ranges up to 1500 m. The shots were fired by a electric blasting cap.

Before starting missiles crew made pre-ranging goals with 45mm standard gun, then used transition tables to introduce a correction factor for vertical angles of the launcher and launched rockets. Rocket length of 1805 mm and a diameter of 420 mm composed of the warhead with an explosive charge (130 kg) and the tail section with the reactive charge (13.5 kg). Explosives were blowed by fuses same as on aerial bombs (instant and delayed action). The head of the fuse for protection against bullets and shrapnel had armor cap.

So, I have a suggestion to add this thing into WarThunder - because it was, in fact, first missile tank in the world.

Few reasons why I dont want to see it in-game:

 

- The bombs are HUGE and so easy to hit. This tank would stand no chance against more accurate guns.

- Lets say that it actually works and doesnt blow up instantly. Which BR would you put it in? Because it has way to big rockets for low BR, but way to small main gun and low armor for higher BR.

- Its a rocket tank, so it is destined to be premium. And I think no one wants more overpriced premiums.

It's a reserve tanks with a couple of rockets strapped to the outside.  I suppose it's alright provided we see analogues on other trees as well (i.e. the Matilda II "Tulip" and the Panzerkampfwagen 35H(f) mit 28/32 cm Wurfrahmen).

it looks hilarious because if the devs actually put back realistic physics (As in putting the center of gravity back in the ACTUAL VEHICLE instead of under it as a counterweight) that thing is going to topple over if it speeds around a corner, plus those rockets will be hilariously inaccurate. he'll probably hit his own teammates!

This only gets TWO rockets, you know that right?  It's barely an upgrade over the BT-5 at all - if anything the rockets make it a bigger target, and with their arc after firing, one would be hard-pressed to hit anything with them beyond point-blank range.

I want to see it just because it looks cool, but at the same time it'd be hard to balance. There is also no need for it. Maybe in the future.

somewhere around 2.7.... it only have two rockets, so it would be a sitting duck after it fires the missiles...
