This heavy tank was developed at design office Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (CTZ) in May - July 1942, in response to complaints from officers of the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army (Red Army) about the low mobility and reliability of the initial version of the heavy tank KV-1. In order to reduce the overall weight of the tank, it's armor was lowered and the turret was replaced with a new casted one . As a result of these measures increased the average and maximum speed of the tank, together with the introduction of new transmission was able to slightly increase the overall reliability of the tank . Compared with KV-1 weapons has remained the same, but the efficiency of its use has increased - the tank commander now has a commander's cupola which improved the visibility of the battlefield.

Estimated performance in-game:

 

The KV-1S can be seen as a faster but lighter armored version of the KV-1 ZiS-5.The armor protection is lowered,but what you get is improved mobility.This will allow the KV-1S to exploit flanks that is impossible for the KV-1 and attack with the faster medium tanks.

Overall worse than a vanilla KV-1.  Add it eventually but if anything earlier KV-1s should be prioritized.

If the ingame zis-5 armed one gets lowered to 4.3 br,and this one gets same br (first is well armoured,other one is fast)I'm ok with it.

Sounds good to me.  It's basically a middle-ground between the KV-1 ZiS-5 and the KV-85, as it has the KV-1 ZiS-5's turret and armament, while the subsequent KV-85 used the KV-1S' hull.
