alright thanks, time to copy and paste.

and don't worry, when i made this topic i did it because i wanted to screw with people. I'm just tired of having nothing while the slavs pile on their vehicles. Same sentiment as everyone who isn't soviet :v

The ironic part? I'm Serbian.

After conversion to US standard, this is around 395mm penetration. Unconverted this is possibly around 320mm. That's one very good gun, I tell you what.

In terms of penetration, the IS-7 wasn't too much different.....

It's because they are the same ammunition and a similar gun.

BR-482 fired from the S-70 is much worse performing. It's 43 mm less penetration than the BR-472 fired from the 2A17 @ 1,000 m. Also, that 60° is for the horizontal instead of the vertical (IS-7 wiki figures), which is why the angled numbers for the IS-7 figure is higher. For example, the BR-482 fired from the M-65 achieves 240 mm @ 30° - 1,000 m in comparison to the S-70's 169 mm.

The Soviets were no strangers to the "just shoot it faster" theory.

How much filler did it have.

Would the Object 770\779(don't know the difference) be more reasonable for game(NOT asking for them, but this thing is waay too crazy)

  • 2 weeks later...

Quite honestly, I would love to have this thing in the game, but not in normal matches. For custom/user missions maybe, so you could fool around, but unless this was premium, the company wouldn't really profit from it. Would probably buy it if it was premium as it just looks too funny to resist.

Would be interesting to see it in WT, but I'd make it even more rare than E-100. Something like 20 - 50 pieces given for some special or something and that's all. Or you could have it "rented" for 24 hours as a gift for your birthday once a year. ;)s That way everyone would have access to it and it still would be rare. You'd also know to who you should wish a "happy birthday" in a battle where you meet it. What do you guys think about that?

I'd also give it a BR value that high that it would meet only vehicles like Leopard 1, M60 etc. (which would currently be 8.7).

Object 277 would be far more balanced. The BR-472 fired from the 2A17 could penetrate it.

Any info on it,looks pretty.

Mobility:

Weight: 55 t

Horsepower: 1,090 hp

Top speed: 55 km/h

Penetration (in Soviet standard):

EnA0V2A.png?1

Rate of fire: 5-6 RPM

Armour:

For Object 277

UFP: 153 mm @ 50° to 140 mm @ 60°

LFP: 140 @ 50° to 164 mm @ 30°

Turret front: 268 mm @ 0° to 68 mm @ 78°

Hull sides: 86 mm @ 0°-67°

Turret sides: 229 mm @ 30° to 76 mm @ 70°

I mean, it's pretty damn powerful but far more balanced than the 279 or other alike. I mean, the turret ring area and outer areas of the LFP very easily penetrable weak spots. I suggested it in the past here, but made a huge mess of it and it basically fell on its face because of such. That, and the Russian bias kids spam the usual crap they spam.

Besides having being 14km/h faster, how do you guys think the Kpz-70's 245mm of spaced frontal turret armor at 53 degrees (and a gun similar to the one in today's Leopard 2) compare to the Object 279's ~300mm of hull armor at 70 degrees?
