WAR THUNDER - IT WONT STOP RUNNING

I have the same problem and I don't have this so called bpreport...

still can't fix this issue even though I tried killing it through cmd but that only says that it isn't even running...

Fun.

does Steam say the game is still running when you restarted Steam or even reboot your system ?

 

in this case it may be related to the GameOverlayRenderer.log of Steam (dont ask me why ^^ but 

this has been reported by a few players who had this problem (not only with WT but with other games

as well).

 

so shut down Steam, go into the Steam folder (usually c:\program files (x86)\Steam\) and delete the

GameOverlayRenderer.log. then start Steam again and see what the status of the game is now.

You could try going to your task manager by right clicking the taskbar and end any background process related to Gaijin.net or WarThunder.

This is what I did to close it, it won't show up in the task manager, but it will under the menu. Thank you, Der_Schuhmacher,because your suggestion worked for me

(bpreport is related to a code that  launches the game)

It shouldn't, Launcher.exe is using cmdprompt to start the game(aces.exe). bpreport is maybe checking the files in game directory.
