ShyWoof 163 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 Just like it says above, I'm not hearing any sound effects when my tank gets hit. No "BLANG", no "BOOM", not even "The gunner is unconscious!" just nothing. A lot of the time there's no graphical effect either, so it's like one moment my tank is fine, then the next I'm dead, when I wasn't even aware I was taking damage. This really breaks my immersion. What can I do to solve this?
relliK 3,227 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 did this just start after the latest patch or did you always have this problem ? are you playing with the full client (right next to the sound settings in the launcher) or the standard / minimal client ? did you try changing the sound settings in the launcher (default, stereo...) ? do you have a surround headset (or speakers) or a stereo setup ? did you check the sound sliders in the in-game options / sound settings ? ShyWoof 163 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 did this just start after the latest patch or did you always have this problem ? Yes, it's new since 1.57, should have mentioned, sorry are you playing with the full client (right next to the sound settings in the launcher) or the standard / minimal client ? Full client. did you try changing the sound settings in the launcher (default, stereo...) ? I did not. do you have a surround headset (or speakers) or a stereo setup ? No, I don't. did you check the sound sliders in the in-game options / sound settings ? Yes, they're still on (except hangar music, which I turn off so I can listen to the hangar's soothing ambient noise) Thank you, sorry. I didn't know what details to include. relliK 3,227 Report post Posted March 19, 2016 Yes, they're still on (except hangar music, which I turn off so I can listen to the hangar's soothing ambient noise) i guess this is the last thing you could try... turn on the hangar music and see if anything changes. (might not sound logical but sometimes certain sounds get 'pooled' into one setting/option) ofc you should also check your soundcard drivers (which means to check the website of the chip manufactuer itself and not the mainboard manufacturere since those often dont update their dirvers at all)... Realtek being one of the prime examples; often being used on mainboards but never being updated by the mainboard manufacturer itself ;) other than that you may want to file a bug report in the bug report section of this forum.
