Two accounts on the same email? [Log in with Steam issue]

I played War Thunder way back before, and I didn't remembered that I had registered in my email.
Today I decided playing it again and I chose the option to "Log in with Steam". So the game started like it was the first time for that account. I was a bit confused, but okay.

Then, I tried logging in with the same email, without the option to log in with Steam, and the game is logged in the account I played in the past.

Now I'm confused and I don't know which account I should main and if it will have any problem to have these two accounts on the same email. I only want one of them.

the Steam login doesn't link to an email (yet) as far as i know.... you can actually check the account informations of your Steam (login) account

with the informations given on this page - https://support.gaijin.net/hc/en-us/articles/208179375-General-information-on-your-account-registered-via-Steam

 

anyway... you can have two (or even more) accounts if you like ^^ but if you want to focus on one account i'd suggest that you use your 'old'

account by using the normal rather than the Steam login.

I was thinking in using my 'Old account', yes. But the only concern that I have, is: In the feature, I'll be able to link the old account to Steam, instead of having to use the 'New one'?

Also, it's strange that my old account don't have the starter tanks with crew, and there's no button to switch from Army to Air, on the Hangar. There's a "Preset #1" button instead. I have to buy crew in order to use the starter tanks... Which is pretty bad.

Anyone knows how can I fix this?
