Do you wish to activate your steam purchases for this War Thunder account?

When i first started playing War Thunder (late December 2013) I used the Steam version. January 2014 I purchased a pack from the steam store, activated it and everything was all good (got the planes the Eagles etc.) and I also purchased some GE with steam wallet money a bit later as well. Then at some point I stopped using the Steam version and just launched the game not through Steam. Now when I use the steam version again every time I log in I get the "Do you wish to activate your steam purchases for this War Thunder account?" text (image at bottom). So far I have just clicked no as I fear it will give me stuff i'm not meant to have and it will be a load of needless hassle to deal with. Is there any risk to clicking yes or any way to stop the dialogue coming up?

I am only back using the steam version as I have some steam wallet money that I would like to use to purchase something.
