Hello all,

 

The Tu-2S can carry 4x 500 KG bombs.  Two are shown on the wings (in my attachment), but where are the other two 500 KG bombs?

 

Then if the reply is in the bomb bay, why when the Tu-2 has only 2x 500 KGs, why are not these two bombs in the bomb bay?

It is always better to carry bombs internally vs on wing ranks or under the fuselage.

 

I attached the hanger screen shot of my Tu-2S that has 4x 500 KG bombs (look in the left grey box to see next to my cursor).

Where are the other two 500 KG bombs?

 

1.  So I suggest if the two other 500 KG bombs are in the bomb bay, to have these two 500 KGs bombs in the bomb bay when the Tu-2 only has two bombs. 

2.  Give the Tu-2 models in the game the 3,000 KG bomb load vs just the 2,000 KG payload.

 

**The attached with cut-n-paste information/website links from Wikipedia.com, militaryfactory.com, airvectors.net, airpages.ru and tupolev.ru all state the Tu-2 had a large bomb bay. If so, why in the game does the Tu-2 not use the large bomb bay when just carrying two 500 KG bombs? 

**Per airvectors: 1,000 kilograms (2,200 pounds) of bombs in the bomb bay and racks for 2,000 kilograms (4,400 pounds) more under the wings inboard of the engines.

2a.  Then with many above web links stating the maximum bomb load was 3,000 KGs, why does not the Tu-2 in the game carry the 3,000 KG payload?

 

Specifications (Tu-2)

• Bombs: 1,500 kg (3,300 lb) internally
• with an additional 2,270 kg (5,000 lb) externally

 

The below photo shows the large long Tu-2 bomb bay which is capable of carrying 1,500 KG in internal bomb load..

Thoughts?

I don't know whether this isn't more of a Bug Report thing, but I definitely support it. The only downside to this that I can find is a suicide bombing in GF RB, but when so many Thunderbolts, Bearcats etc. can do it without punishment... There should really be a system for punishing such actions.

Then if they do not increase the Tu-2S bomber's payload, at least they should get the internal bomb load correct with the 2x 500 kg bombs in the internal bomb bay.  Then once it has 4x 500 kb bombs, it would be 2x 500 kg internal and 2x 500 kg bombs external (as it is now).

I would enjoy a larger payload for the Tu-2S. The plane is underperforming payload-wise. 6x500 KG is a much needed alteration to these aircraft.

One more bit of information,

 

It would just be nice to give the Tu-2 bomber what it is LONG OVER DUE in getting it's max bomb load of 3,000 Kgs (and even some website have it's bomb load up to 3,700 Kgs)

 

You have in game 5.7 and 6.0 BR AB bombers with ONLY 2,000 Kgs of bombs.  This is ONLY 67% of the ACTUAL Tu-2's bombload-2,000/3,000 (and some websites only 54%-2,000/3,700).

As the Tu-2S's previously got the ability to load 4x 500kg bombs,
