IDreamOfShadows 33 Report post Posted November 21, 2016 I have noticed this guy is only Equipped with the 76mm Gun, aka the 3pdr. however it had an option that was planned for a Larger gun, which should be updated. here's the part of the article i copied. The Ordnance Corps had expected the 75 mm gun to be lacking, and the T1E1 prototype was tested with a T7 90 mm gun and was found to be a satisfactory gun platform, although poor turret layout was noted again. By this point the M6 had been cancelled So basically. the photos of the M6, Only featured the 76, there were Plans for a 90Mm gun. So, Gaijin i know you're busy. but please look into and Fix this. builder396 252 Report post Posted July 26, 2017 Unlike World of Tanks, Warthunder does not put in a tank with a gun it never had just because it was "planned". There was also a working M6 with a 105mm long barrel gun in an early prototype of the T29 turret, and frontal armor increased to ~180mm. Got trialled. Wasnt worth either producing or converting. Dont see that ingame either.

Sirchby 3,711 Report post Posted July 30, 2017 (edited) Unfortunately for you all, it's not planned. It was fully built & armed into a standard production M6A2 with standardized armor thickness. This is from 5th War Loan Drive Parade in New York, 9 June 1944. Showing a comparison between the M6A2 & Tiger I. T1E1 = Designation for the pilot tank M6A2 M6A2 = Designation for the production tank M6A2 Now, compared to the T1E1 (designation for pilot M6A2) which didn't have standardized armor below: (Take a look on the glass, or windshields) It was armed with 90 mm T7 to test for any availability for the heavy tank to be upgunned. This is from Aberdeen Proving Ground, 17 March 1943. Talking about armor version: This is the early version of T1E1 pilot armor (the tank on the 2nd image), marked as Second version Armour On 7/23/2016 at 10:49 PM, Whelmy said: Second version Armour (Oct 1940) T1E1 (Cast Armor): Front: 76.2 mm minimum Side: 63.5 mm Rear: 63.5 mm Top: 25.4 mm Bottom: 25.4 mm Turret: 76.2 mm minimum The armor indicated is in terms of the best grade rolled plate obtainable. The castings used will provide equivalent ballistic characteristics. (This part means that as they knew castings could be weaker then rolled plate, so the castings would be thicker than 76.2 mm as written, enough so to meet the same protection levels as if it was rolled at the called for thickness) This is the last version of the M6A2 production armor (the tank on the 1st image), marked as Fifth version Armour On 7/23/2016 at 10:49 PM, Whelmy said: Fifth version Armour (End of 1942) American selected specs after reviewing British requirements, going forward all new vehicles would be built to this. Total weight of extra armor added was 9500 pounds. M6A2 (Cast Armor): Front: 127 mm basis Side: 76.2 mm Rear: 50.8 mm Top: 25.4 mm Bottom: 25.4 mm Turret: 101.6 mm Turret roof: 25.4 mm Skirt: 25.4 mm It's more than just a plan Edited July 30, 2017 by Sirchby Client Stability Improved
