FootlooseGlobe7 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2017 So my friend always hit sign in through steam when playing War thunder, and one day he hit the button and it asked him to put in a password and he did. Then when he got in game, his account was new! Empty! He was grinding for the tiger and now it just wiped his account! Please help us fix this problem! vincentLaw 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2017 Hi this just happened to me to. I used to play on Steam. I deleted steam for various reasons. I re-downloaded War Thunder through Gaijin. At first i created a new account thinking I wanted to start over. Than I decided to play with my old account. I logged into my old account and my research is swiped and it is treating me like a first time player. anyway around this? vincentLaw 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 (edited) Sorry, late response. The way I logged in is as follows. I would open the steam portal. GO to War Thunder within steam. Then i would hit play and the War Thunder Launcher would pop up. Now on the Launcher i could adjust settings and download updates like normal. Then when i wanted I would hit play and the game would launch from the War Thunder Launcher. Then I would have to input my email and password to login into the game. After that, the game was ready to play. I have gone onto my online profile on steam and found all my research and badges still saved within Steam. But i dont want to use steam if I dont have to. So now when i go to the Launcher directly and input the same email and password my account comes up wiped.
