Let's just hope this and the BMP-2 don't get the Begleitpanzer treament, I.E. getting massively over-tiered.

Armed with an ATGM though, so I doubt that.

Yes, three of em...

BMP-1 is at 7.3, and there it's still a bad vehicle, regardless of penetration.

Seriously, why are people so obsessed with pen values? the Object 906 ''only'' has 230mm penetration on it's APHE round, yet that gun is VASTLY superior to anything the BMP-1 has access to.

if the Tiger II H had a 300mm pen HEATFS, and his reload rate is around 6,5 seconds, wich BR it would had???

Dunno, it'd be worse armed than it is currently, but Gaijin seems to think that high pen=good shell.

Checked the version of the book available here...

Its a 1st edition book and page 65 is the technical data table here. The number of 4 stored missles is mentioned in text on page 64.

Knowing the author, it is very unlikely that he changed the number in later editions.(they have(had) access to the complete technical documents of the vehicle) You've had a "Taschenbuch" version? Hilmes et.Al as authors?

Yes. these Taschenbücher were made for Technik Museum Sinsheim and Speyer. Have some for Leo 2, Leo 1, Wiesel, ect. They were a collection. maybe a mistake made by the revision of the book? wouldnt be the first time

Have to check them out when at Sinsheim the next time.

If the vehicle ever gets made here, would be fun to see what number Gaijin pics as there seem to be conflicting sources ;)

Just got to say that 6-7 of those tubes would not fit in...not even with a big amount of lube :D

Hm... Should probably make an AFV class for this sort of vehicle so that they can be given decreased spawn point cost.

Or something a bit more unique, like +300% quicker zone capturing, and if Gaijin really want to go all-out, have them carry infantry you can deploy equipped with some form of anti-tank weapon.

AP-T DM 43                                              1100m/s       Penetrates 40mm/1000m

APDS DM 63                                            1150m/s       Penetrates 44mm/1000m

Practice DM 48A1,DM 98A1                    1045m/s

Practice DM 88A1                                    1040m/s

Standard Load is 1250 rounds of ammunition.Gun can switch between ammo types.Early versions had the “Dreiweggurtzuführer” or DWGZ,which could switch between 3 different ammunition belts.Later versions (As mounted on the Marder A1+ had the DGZ (Doppelgurtzuführer),which could switch between 2 different belts.

Huh, the penetration values you list of both the DM43 and DM63 seem kind of weaker than I expected. Are you absolutely sure these are the correct values? I thought DM43 API-T had something like 50mm at 1500-2000m and DM63 APDS-T something like 60mm at 1500-2000m.

Anyway, here's hoping we get the Marder 1 sometime in the future. Preferably an A1/A3 variant with the fully stabilized LWT-3 turret I have read about.
