Looks cool, the machine gun will let it take out low-tier SPAAAG trucks and if it's nested under its weaker cousin it won't screw up the tech tree.

But can you please add a poll? It would be very useful.

i'm all for it. it adds very little new to the late tier 4 (save for sim battles), so it'll won't be a 7.0. and it'll be a snap for gaijin to add.

additionally, now that the upcoming BR changes list has been released, the panther II will be at 7.0, so having the elefant in the main tech tree will let germany keep a trio of 6.7 vehicles (well, the king tiger H of 6.7 and the ferdi/elefant pair at 6.3 in RB)

Sounds good. Maybe with more tanks that are added, the BR system as a whole can be changed from the .3 intervals to .5 intervals.  Tanks at 6.5, 3.5, etc. or maybe something completely different. Either way more variety from more tanks is good.

Anyway, I always wondered, why the "Elefant" isn't in the tech tree, yet, after all it was an improved version of the Ferdinand taking the battle performance during the battle of Kursk into account. (MG-34, better armour, broader tracks, improved engine, new Commander's cupola)

Well the KV-2 mod. 1940 was an event vehicle and was the most built version (for what I can see), I wouldnt be surprised if the Elefant also ended up being an event vehicle

I wouldn't mind seeing it. I think there are a few tanks that would be better off if you could research their variants such as the M60 vs having it in main tank line.

The name change was more of a coincidence than a decision to have a new name for a new variant. There's some crossover with some of the changes.

If Ferdinand actually has its secondary mantlet removed (HD model is very appreciated) so it can be distinguished to Elefant, I voluntarily support this suggestion.
