This Suggestion is in support of the Armored Cars research line project

I think the Armored car should be added into the game making the game filled with fast tank who cannot go well off-road or in the snow. the Armored car would be great and so far the British get 2 of them already as AA. But there is more. the British did built their own wheeled tank which was suppose to be cheaper and faster to built with a armor comparable to his contemporary tank. the AEC was born fitting a valentine mk1 turret on a Matador chassis.

appart the AA version, there was 3 tank variation produced for the AEC armored car.

The AEC Mk1 what having a turret of Valentine mk2 with the OQF 2pndr gun (40mm). 129 were built and saw action in north Africa in late 1942. some were reported fitting a turret of a crusader with the OQF 6pndr gun (57mm).

The AEC Mk2 Was upgraded with a heavier turret with a 6 pndr gun (57mm), redesigned front hull, 158 hp diesel engine. the version currently in the game is the Late version, this suggestion also propose to have the early version of the Mk.2. the difference between them is the gun. both have a 57mm QF 6 pounder. but the Early version have the QF 6pounder  L/43 Mk.III while the Late version have the improved QF 6pounder L/50 Mk.V
AEC-Armoured-Car-Mk2_face.jpg

the AEC Mk3 was a Close Support Armoured Car a Mk II with 6 pounder replaced with the QF 75 mm gun
AEC-Mk3.jpg

the AEC armored car had an impressive 65mm armor on the front well slopped with an effectiveness of around 95mm. it was more than any other armored car of his time. the more powerful engine than the one on the Metador tractor allow the AEC to reach the speed of 58 to 65km/h making him a good and fast tank. But the armor was greatly weaker on the side and the back with 16mm all around. the turret was the exact same as the Valentine mk1 for the AEC Mk1 and a new turret for the Mk2 and Mk3 allowing a 3 crew member in the turret.

I reckon all three should definitely be added when armoured cars are added to WT properly, and I'd love to see these in game.

I say yes to all three of these somewhat well armoured cars.

what is so good about the armor is this would be great when facing the enemy but so weak when you go flanked making the car a good target at the same time

wow. not only are the AECs well armed, but their front even outdoes the t-34 in effective armor? god DAYYYYUM. count me in on all 3.

the way i see them, they should be in late 2nd tier or early 3rd. be fighting against T34-1942 or STZ and panzer 4 F2.

why not introducing a new line for the armored car? they pretty much all have the same purpose
here another model of AC

A full AC/Light Tank line would be great. You can start it off with the Guy Armoured Car series.

this is also what i had in mind. but i can only get the pen ofthe 15mm short barrel. it's pretty much what i lack to get the suggestion ready. also, the 80kph for most the AC is a bit high. i know in off road it would be about the half but still it bother me.

the alvis saladin doesn't have enough pen to be serrious at the tier 5. i had more in mind the Furret with ATM or FV721 Fox. something that could actually damage at least half of the enemy

The saladin would fit better in tier 4

And the of the CVR(T) family.

Perhaps have any armoured cars sharing the same weaponry as a Light Tank/CVR being nested with it in the tree.

Potentially. I have encountered a large number of light tanks and armoured cars from the both the British themselves and the rest of the Commonwealth, one of the interesting ones was an FV721 Fox fitted with what looked like a Scorpion turret. I'll have to dig up the image again sometime.

I thought it was the other way around? A scorpion with a fox turret?

Edit: The Sabre as seen below was a Scorpion with a Fox turret.
