Armed with a 76mm S-1 gun and powered by a lend-lease General Motors diesel engine, the 110hp GMC-71, that was to be license-produced by the Yaroslavl Motor Plant. Generally, the vehicle resembled the German “Hetzer”, although when it comes to its gun and armor, it was inferior to it. The suspension was taken from the T-70, with individual torsion bars for each of the 5 road wheels and 4 return rollers. The hull was made of rolled armor plates of varying thickness, from 10mm to 35mm – only the frontal armor had a significant slope in order to make it easier for the crew to operate the vehicle by giving them enough space. The vehicle had a crew of four – driver, commander, gunner and loader. The frontal plate had a massive hole cut in it in order to mount the powerful 76,2mm S-1 gun. The gun itself had a -5/+14 depression/elevation and could traverse 13,5 degrees to each side.

The vehicle was built in one prototype and passed both factory and army trials. However, it did not enter mass production because the gun was considered too weak to knock out the latest German “Tigers” and “Panthers” tanks. The development of the chassis ended in 1944 with the introduction of the improved version with 60mm frontal armor.

This is pretty basic well known prototype of Soviets. Surprised there was no suggestions before or that its not yet in the game. Pretty sure they will put them in at some point. Or at least either of the two.

This is one of those prototypes that i think should be perhaps included to the main tree. Especially when it has two models with two very different guns. I don´t see them both becoming a premium, so in the main tree you would get both variants.

Also the GAZ-75, NATI, and the OSA-76 fit into the category of Russian mini tanks. Or "Russian Hetzers".

GAU ZIS-2 (Not really a "Hetzer", its just interesting to note it with the other TDs)

I can support both, but only as premiums since they're non combat one off prototypes that don't really fill a gap in the line.
