Cheegy 3 Report post Posted May 31, 2017 Dear the good people of war thunder forums admins etc. I like the Recent adding of Italian planes but I have one flaw for the devs. Rocket pods, Rocket pods are a effective and efficient way to launch rockets from a plane, you added rocket pods to the G91 Fiat but not the other planes like the A-1 Skyraider (aka ad-2). AD-2 Rocket pods: The LAU-59 rocket pod held seven 2.75" FFARs. LAU means Launcher Aircraft Unit. FFAR means Folding Fin Aircraft Rocket. The rockets could have different types of warheads. HE (high explosive) rockets were used against targets made of wood or truck type steel. HEAT (high explosive anti-tank) heads had a shape charge and were used against armored vehicles. WP (white phosphorus) heads were used to either mark a target with smoke or as an incendiary weapon. The LAU-59 pod was reusable and was returned with the aircraft for reloading. The LAU-68 was a newer version of this pod. The LAU-3 was a 19 tube rocket launcher carried on most loads including the Sandy load. Left wing veiw of the loadout. Now i know I kinda got sidetracked on the a-1 sorry. Also you can add rocket pods to the MIG 17 and 15 and the hunter f.1. And also you could add napalm to war thunder and yes you would be thinking it would be useless but really it wouldnt because its a fiery 500kg bomb, it could take out AAA positions and pillboxes. And Matchmaking could be tweaked a little bit more. Then you could add Vietnam era jets and planes and have their own gamemode where you can only use the selected era say pacific campaign you would hit go to battle the it would bring a menu up saying "select and era" and you click pacific campaign or Vietnam you would click veitnam. And add Veitnam era planes to Russia and American. (why i said Russia for the VNPA is because the VNPA was supplied by Russia they supplied jets ammo and tanks to Vietnam). And add new maps like the hoa chi minh trail and hamburger hill of coarse. This maybe and aimless post about rocket pods and nam era why i wrote it is because i wanna see rocket pods on the a-1 skyraider in the future. And i would think a Swedish tech tree would be cool too because the swedish had very interesting tanks like the strv 81 and the flying barrel. yours truly: User:Faze_Rain1 P.S please dont let the bot scan it and do a report on it saying inappropriate or something; sorry about my English.
muzzleflash98 1,697 Report post Posted May 31, 2017 I would suggest only suggesting one thing at once. Your post kind of branched out at the end. Also, the suggestions area of the forum would probably be a better place for this. I agree that if one nation gets rocket pods all nations that have them should. But until Germany has an aircraft that can carry rocket pods I would expect a huge uproar.
c3r3al 2 Report post Posted June 1, 2017 I think this is a pretty good idea. I'd enjoy seeing more rocket pods being added to the game.
MasterofBlitz 226 Report post Posted June 9, 2017 Having rocket pods would be nice. I think it would be a great for ground forces and many people who do ground forces may support your idea. But wrong section mate. Post this in Suggestions section of the forum.
