Offline mode

You can make a suggestion in the suggestion forum.

I wouldn't get my hopes up though, since it always have  been an online only game.

A bit to the side, but ----
Gajin has a game Wings of Prey that I have picked up cheap and used for this purpose (traveling in remote areas wNo internet). I know it is not the same or free (still cheap).

Might be worth a try.

It will never happen. Offline mode would mean losing control of the server side code, and enterprising people (like me) who are capable of reverse engineering software will immediately unveil all of Gaijin's dirty little secrets. Now, if they issued a 'clean' client side package, other astute players would immediately notice any differences and raise the question of why this client side does X but the server side doesn't...

.... plus, all your opponents would be Assault Arcade grades of superhuman AI. You know, the ones that land 100% of their shots on you from a BT-5 bouncing at top speed across bumpy ground.

Long story short, doing so would be a fatal headache for the company.

It's like people are not playing Assault. If paying attention, it can be seen that many AI tanks actually miss a lot. But if you have 10-15 tanks looking at you, and if 1/10 shots do hit, you will be hit.

I wouldn't mind some offline mode, even with Assault AI. Something to mess around with when internet is down or missing.

It's true, i knew had something to do with hack stuff, but please, they can put single-player stuff in other client, something like that don't they? Like was the previews game, Wings of Prey. I've about to lose internet for few mouths and would love to simulate with bots, missions.

The Game Is Fully Online.

That's the problem. Gaijin's eventually going to close down the servers, at which point you will no longer be able to play. Offline bots will preserve the game and allow you to play the game after the servers get shut down.

when the game dies ( and it will , this is not a knock on Gaijin but War Thunder doesn't exactly have the WoW playerbase it's just a matter of when )  I would hope they would lock the game when they shutter it and give us offline play  . but Gaijin wouldn't make nearly as much money from offline play as they would now. so it's not an option I would imagine )

But what if we make separate game mode what can be downloaded separately and played as singleplayer? This idea is based on "EmuTarkov" - adaptation of "Escape From Tarkov" from MMOFPS to true singleplayer game. Some changes was made to make it intresting, but it's OK. Same thing can be done to War Thunder - true singleplayer conversion, "Singleplayer War Thunder" or "EmuThunder". It can be made as server emulator or by some other way. By game changes: in singleplayer variant progress can be speed up or everethyng is unlocked from the start; infinite gold eagles (as you have no donate, so we can presume what you playing with infinetly many money, without actually need to have this many money - it is singleplayer mode); all players excpet you is bots (all gamemodes just don't work with 1 player); anti-cheat is desabled because you is only player; excetra.

Isn't that IL-2?

Could be nice to have some single player story mode on the side yeah.

Indeed, test drive vehicles and doing custom battles and sandbox.

Single player will never happen, players aren't enticed to bust out that credit card for upgrades or a new premium. Remember it's free to play but cash to be completive .

Offline mode battles will be a single player vs AI tanks and planes.

Well, unless it is all vehicles that are controlled by AI on both teams.

Indeed, it makes the battle easier than having all vehicles controlled by human players.
