_cosmo 2 Report post Posted November 9, 2017 ok, been struggling with this for a while now. i use mouse control, and rmb to keep track of the enemy. the problem is that during maneuvering (especially out of loops or split s), once i manage to get a firing solution, when i release rmb to make minute adjustments, the camera flips around to accommodate to the plane's inverted field. is there any way to turn this behavior off? (i would prefer to keep using rmb for mouse look, if possible). what my searching has come up with is turning sense of flight to 0%, but that didn't seem to do anything (whatever it does. i swear, there should be some hint/explanation of some of the more obscure controls explaining what they do) one way to mitigate it is to manually roll the plane until it's the aligned properly with the camera, but that translates into wasted moments and shots. so, any ideas? _ScottyDoesntKnow_ 90 Report post Posted November 10, 2017 Hey _Cosmo, Have you tried turning off Instructor?
_cosmo 2 Report post Posted November 10, 2017 Hey, mountainman! no, as far as i can tell, it's not possible: turning the instructor off changes the control to full realistic, and the mouse is used as joystick. If i select mouse aim fromthe dropdown list, the controls swap back to mouse aim, and the instructor is automatically reenabled. There may be some trick to it, but i haven't found it

TranquilClaws2 1 Report post Posted December 23, 2017 (edited) Is there a way to have full mouse control and have the camera reorient itself slowly after using free-look? Edited December 23, 2017 by TranquilClaws2
TranquilClaws2 1 Report post Posted December 23, 2017 (edited) I understand the need to flip the camera's orientation whenever the player's camera is at a weird angle, but at its current state it is simply too disorienting to be helpful.
