This Suggestion is in support of the Armored Cars research line project

 

I would like to suggest the impressive armored car widely used by France, the AMX 10RC (not to mistake with the AMX 10P)

 

the AMX-10RC is a armored car built to replace the EBR in the reconnaissance role while also filling the role of a tank destroyer. the AMX 10RC was designed in the end of the 70s and put into service in the early 80s. the AMX 10 RC was design fallowing those requirement

 

1. been low profile
2. armed with a 105mm
3. improved aiming and drive system
4. high agility off-road
5. been amphibious

 

while been good at all those points, the AMX 10RC do not have only good point. the first is the armor was reduced over the EBR and now con only resist to certain medium caliber and only in good distance, the caliber of the shell was been reduced and not nearly cannot penetrate adequately the tanks of his time exept for the SABOT who can still penetrate the enemy tank at 1500 to 2000m. this armored car was been used in the french army in a decent number of 300 tanks, they was also exported in a few country, a total of a bit less than 500 AMX 10RC was built. the turret was powered and turning at a speed of 18 ° /sec and had a elevation of - 8 °  to +20 ° . it was armed with a 105 mm BK MECA L/48 (Vo 800 m/s) and carry 40 shell which half of them stored in the turret. it was powered by a Baudouin Diesel Model 6F11 SRX of 280 hp and could reach the speed of 85km/h on-road. it could climb a elevation of 60% (about 36 to 38 degree). it have a pneumatic suspension which can be adjusted to give the tank a better angle of fire or to cross obstacle.

Between 2005 and 2010 a total of 256 vehicles were upgraded to the AMX-10RCR standard in order to keep them operational until 2015-2020. Upgrades includes add-on armor kit for a higher level of protection, Galix self-protection system and LIRE infrared jamming system. Upgraded AMX-10RCR tank destroyers are also fitted with a battlefield management information system, and identification friend or foe system. Automotive system upgrades include new automatic transmission and new suspension control system. However upgraded vehicles lost their amphibious capability.

a new improvement mad in the early 2010 and saw action for the first time in mali 2014. it only consists of improving his armor with the addition of extra armor and an optional anti-missile cage armor

Well if this is introduced to the game I hope we will get some of it's prototype variants too, those are:

The AMX 10 RAA (2x30mm), the AMX 10 RAC (90mm CS HV gun), the AMX 10 C (tracked variant that would fit as a rank 5/6 light tank), the AMX 10 RC TML 105 (105mm NATO)

 

And later if we get things like the leopard 2 , maybe as br 10+ ACs:

the AMX 10 RCR (modernised variant),AMX 10 RC T40M (40mm autocannon+ATGMs).

it would be great. i only suggested the based variant here because i really want that one and also i want to limit my suggestion to a certain year to avoid to have too much modern tank too fast.

Do we know what the performance of the 105 mm BK MECA (F2) L/48 is like? I'm assuming it fires the same ammunition as the AMX 30B2 from a shorter gun,  so it would have less muzzle velocity, about the same HEAT penetration, and less APFSDS penetration, right?
