OleStinkEye 5 Report post Posted January 10, 2018 Like to topic says. "Such as what is sense of flight?" Or when I open up the zoom axis settings what do all those options mean/do. MrBader 516 Report post Posted January 11, 2018 (edited) hi, Ikr? Sense of flight aims to recreate g force effects while in cockpit view. It moves your view around a bit. I leave mine at around 30%. Zoom axis parameters are like other axis. There are stickies describing axis parameters in gaming controllers part of forum. Sorry away from computer right now. What I did was experiment in test flight A LOT. Pm me if I can help more in depth. Edited January 11, 2018 by MrBader
Pogo68 10 Report post Posted October 10, 2018 Hope you don't mind but I have my own question about the controls. In the tank To use active scouting, when I press the scouting button it asks me to select a player. Problem is there is no button to press. so what command do I bind a button to??? I'm trying to find it on the menu but I can't seem to find one.
Nickinburg 241 Report post Posted October 14, 2018 I can answer the scouting question. The scouting key will mark a target for you. But you must have to have that target in your gun sight when you push the key. For example. If I'm looking at a tank across the map in my gunner view, I simply hit the spotting key, and the target will be marked. However, if you try and use the spotting key while in bino view, or 3rd person view, it will not work. You also cannot hit the spotting key and then aim at a target. You need to have the target you want to spot in your sighted as if you were going to shoot them yourself before you hit the spot key. If you successfully spot someone, your cooldown for the spotting mechanic will reset allowing you to spot other targets. If you fail to spot something, or do it in the wrong order, you'll not only fail to mark a target, but your ability will go on cooldown for ~30 seconds. Spotting a target will mark it on the map, and put a large red arrow over the targets head so everyone on your team can see it's location. Any friendlies that damage or kill the marked target will reward you with SL and RP. Basically, the key is to make sure you are looking right at the guy you want to mark while in gunner view. When he's lined up, tap your spotting key and he'll be marked for your whole team to see.
Pogo68 10 Report post Posted October 14, 2018 (edited) So Gunner view not Binocs. rgr So what's the tank commander for??? Aside from providing spotter for the gunner? Edited October 14, 2018 by Pogo68 Sentence fragment
Nickinburg 241 Report post Posted October 15, 2018 I actually did some experimenting with the bino view and trying to spot things. It did actually work sometimes, but I think it's because my gunsight was also aimed at where I was observing through the binos. I guess as long as you could technically see the target in your gunsight, you can spot it using the bino view. Again though, you have to have the target lined up before hitting the spot button. The Commander in a tank, from what I understand, grants buffs to the other crew members, like increasing reload speed, better spotting, faster turret rotation, etc. Otherwise, like other non essential crew members (Machine gunners, loaders, radio operators) he can fill other roles as necessary, if some of your crew get knocked out. Your tank basically needs 2 crew to function, driver and gunner. Everyone else is just a bonus.

I recommend you bind both 'lock target' and 'active scouting' to the same key... which may require you to hit that key twice sometimes, if the game tries to scout before locking to target. In AB you can scout in whatever view you like, in RB it's gunner view or binocs only, afaik.
