french spaa Giat VAB Vadar

i would like to suggest an interesting tier 4 or 5 SPAA for the french tree. the Renault VAB Vadar

 

The VAB Vadar was designed to offer close support to the mobile armored division. the design remained only a prototype who was sucessfully tested but as the main purpose of this vehicles was to counter the low flying aircraft such as the Mi 24 Hind (was was making worry the Nato forces) the choice was made that the missile was more suitable for the job. the VAB Vadar was a prototype made in the mid 70s and equipped with two 20mm F2 cannon with 500rnds per guns in a SAMM GTS turret with EMD 20 Radar mounted on a 6x6 VAB chassis. the crew was of 3 member. the actual prototype was later refited with 12.7mm MG and the radar was removed after the concept was dropped in the mid 70s. the armored car is currently in the Saumur Museum of tank in France in working condition.

I would say even lower, since the VAB has essentially no armour whatsoever. Maybe 6.3 or 6.0. But the 12.7 version could be also there. So maybe 6.0 for the 12.7 and 6.3 for the 20 mm?

Yeah or something like that, france need at least one more aaa between the 4.7 amx 13 dca and the 8.0 amx 30 dca

Great! The traverse and elevation speed is quite similar to AMX-30DCA also i assume that it does not have any kind of gun stabilization right?

Not really needed because its meant to defend buildings and airfields

i meant that it is better if it does not since it can fill the gap better i would say 7.3/7 would be good
