I can't even uninstall it completely, since I can't enter the launcher! The hard drive is not broken. I think the problem started with lonlife accelerator, but I had already uninstalled it, installed it again, tried everything. Someone's have any idea how to completely remove warthunder without enter the launcher? Every time I try via steam it don't remove everything.

I had this problem too. Never had any problem starting and playing the game before. Read all these tips and tried everything until I saw I don't have ticked "Easy Anticheat" in launcher. Now it's running again without problems so make sure you have enabled that "Easy Anticheat" pole right above Play button in launcher. Maybe it will help someone.

i also have a fatal error exception. it appears after anticheat load and just as wt is about to enter fullscreen. Interesting part is that if i ignore fatal error exception screen and send crash id to gaijin screen which i can also shut down, the game starts enters the hangar and battles but has short frequent screen freezes. Its playable but really annoying. When i close fatal error screen the game shotsdown automaticly. and my game also creates error folders. this started happening after i cleaned up my cpu cooler and had a bit of a hard time with thermal compound. i always put too much and my cpu overheated up to 85 degrees once then i shut iy down again and put the right amount and it ran smothley but wt was still throwingout this issue. I tested oother games soo i am pretty sure that cpu isnt damaged. I tried everything reinstaling diagnosing file checking. steam and off steam instalations removing my nvidia driver folder and installing a new driver for it. in the end nothing. i ll post cash files here so if anyone knows whats going on please help. Thanks in advance.

atm Avast and AVG causing this issue...

disabling them or adding WT to the exception list does not work - you will either have to uninstall Avast / AVG and use a different

anti virus software or just run the game with the exception error in the background (and wait for an update).

The EAC that nobody uses, check it now. Seems that it's now mandatory. Solved this issue for me.

Hey there,

I seem to have a similar issue with a fatal crash occurring every time I try to start the game. I tried deleting the cache file, re-installed the game, turned off Nvidia highlight and tried windowed mode but with no success. I'm linking the game log file in case that helps finding what wrong.

PLS HALP

Thank you

Im also having this issue but I have neither of the anti virus programs that can cause the issue on my system. The game is essentially unplayable to me.

could you maybe upload your most recent client log (file with a *.clog file extension located in the ..\War Thunder\.game_logs\  folder) ?!

My most recent file is attached but I think I might have fixed my issue? I went to the EAC website to see if their is anything I could do and I ended up doing step 2 on here - https://www.easy.ac/en-us/support/game/issues/guide/Specifically part 2 of step 2 -> ''Lastly, run the following command with Administrator rights to repair corrupted system files. sfc /scannow '', this found corrupted files and fixed them. I've since launched War Thunder 4+ times to check and its launched without issue each time! If I get the same issue again I'll be sure to post the latest log here. Thanks for your help.

Game keeps crashing whilst booting.

Tried:

-Changing from fullscreen to windowed.

-Reinstalled Nvidia

-Shutdown Nvidia

-Checking files

Haven't reinstalled, I'd prefer not to reinstall due to slow internet speed.

File below should be the one.

Seems like my fix was only temporary, its now crashing with the same error again, even after playing a few games early on today. This makes me think its something on EAC's end?

Attached is the latest file from the last exception error crash.

Edit:Just tried relaunching the game and I got in with no issues and can play fine, this is a very inconsistent issue. I have changed absolutely nothing on my system since it crashed earlier on, where the attached log is from.

shortest client log ever ^^

basically the client cannot even display the first splash screen (or barely) but crashes right away with an access violation (but no further information) =/

though it says a crash dump has been created - E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\War Thunder/.game_logs/2020_03_07_16_09_44__21416.clog-16.09.45.dmp

maybe you could upload that one ?!

it is and it looks as if the rtsshooks64.dll from the RivaTunerStatisticsServer is crashing...

you could have a look if an update for RTSS is available or if you dont use the overlay

anyway you may consider to uninstall the RTSS.

while RTSS may have come with another tool (like MSI Afterburner for instance) it may

not be 'needed' by that tool unless you want to use an ingame overlay.

edit: forgot to mention that it may not even have to be uninstalled but disabling the

overlay (in Afterburner at least ^^) will disable RTSS so it wont start at all but remain

on the hdd / system.

Both programs are fully up to date, looks like I will make a profile in RivaTSS to tell it to not run during/over War Thunder. Seems odd that this issue has only recently started for me as I've used both programs for years with no issues etc. It's probably the recent adding of EAC that caused my issues? At least I'm more aware of those 2 programs causing potential problems in the future in this and other games etc.

Thanks for getting to the cause and solution to my issue.

or War Thunder or Windows (update) ?! who knows 8D

i guess that's just one of the problems with software development (or evolvement even)

anything can change at any time =/ guess there is a reason for the saying 'never touch

a running system'... and with update 1.97 just around the corner there may (and most

likely WILL) be more changes and problems ^^ but maybe others will be solved
