Thanks for the reply. I don’t use custom skins! It happens always - whether DLSS is on or off. HDR is not selectable if you don’t have the corresponding display (ReverbG2 in my case). Furthermore, I can say that all drivers are up to date. Here are all my latest c-log files.

By the way: Gaijin should know the problem. I have sent countless of logs since "Red Skies" ;-/

it's just that big because of one error message being repeated over and over and over again.

but i have no clue what the root cause is... you could try running the game without custom skins

(rename the ..\War Thunder\UserSkins\ folder or move it to a backup location so you don't have

 to download the skins again if they are not the cause), also you should use the default hangar

(either by removing the custom hangar line in the config.blk or type // in front of it so it gets ignored)

 

and maybe run the game without any fancy options like DLSS and especially HDR since they have

been causing some issues in the past...

 

when you've disabled / removed those and the issue persists you could post the latest clog again

so i may have a look if the same error still appears.

I’m exactly the same. All I can do is restart the game quickly and hope I can rejoin the session before it hits the ground. I wouldn’t worry about DLSS, it just makes the image softer/fuzzier...and in VR you want it as sharp as possible.

@ Drogo_joystick : It's not that I'm worried about DLSS. I welcome it because I don't have an RTX 5080 ti yet. Besides: I am convinced that DLSS is the future.

There was a small update today (Work-in-Progress maybe), but the "Fatal Error - Exception" problem still exists. At least I made it to a little over half an hour today.

Lost all control of my plane and crashed.

First game, on my way to cap, when suddenly...

Black screen! Texture crash! Your texture quality has been reduced due to bla, bla, bla.

Kicked back to menu and crew locked.

 

Second game, get to cap, capture. Arty falls on me as I am replacing my crew - frame drop/stutter and... crash!

 

Fun game ...When it works.

Fix should be (for those who downloaded straight from the website or steam I guess) check if you have a 32bit or 64bit if you have a 32bit then open the 32bit folder and launch the game from there same goes for those who have 64bit also

Please somebody help me!

When i want to launch War Thunder, it crashes, i try again, same thing. I tried to uninstall an install it, tried downloading it from steam but 

same thing happens. I've watched videos online how to fix this problem but they don't work. Maybe its just my PC not being abble to handle it? Because my PC 

is just like poorly working right now, not even being abble to open GeForce. Please help if yall know the problem.

FATAL ERROR: EXCEPTION

I've read this forum a lot already, and i’ve tried a lot of things yet to no avail.

Basically i was going in to change my kill message from "Aircraft Destroyed" to "Dishonorably Discharged". This was also right after the update "La Royale". I quickly figured the change in the files was the problem so i reversed it and changed it back to the original "Aircraft Destroyed". Still doesn't work. It seems to be a problem with the steam files because using the launcher from the website and not steam boots up the game and i can run it high 60fps in full screen, so not a performance issue or something w/ the graphics card. I cleared my cache and deleted all my user skins still no progress past the EAC(Easy Anti Cheat) popup window, right before it opens the game to start loading

:cache clear, done/No

:userskins/downloads for game, deleted/No

:steam reinstall,done/No

:downloaded graphics card/driver/didn't work

:opened in window/didn't work

I am positive its something with the game files but i can't seem to figure out what it is.

I have somewhat of the same problem. For me whenever i enter any sort of map at the start of the game, the game instantly crashes and gives me the fatal error exception. This is the first time it happened to me and now it wont stop. I cant even play the game. I have rtx 3080 and ryzen 3900xt. i have completely removed any nvidia products from safe boot mode, used ddu to remove the ALL the Nvidia drivers. Installed the newest available drivers from the web. Uninstalled the game, downloaded it again, rechecked the files and still i can not play the game.

but you still got the custom language / locilization enabled in the config.blk i assume ?!

 

you might want to try to disable the custom language (testLocalization:b=yes) in the config.blk altogether (either set it to 'no' or delete the line completely)

and while you are at it you should maybe disable any other customization / mods as well... just to be as vanilla as possible.
