It is actually quite difficult to find a place to sideclimb when the spawn is being camped without being noticed and get wrecked before you win the altitude, then manage to get the jump on a g2 in a stock plane (which the majority of players have), and you are wasting a lot of time for just one kill, instead of just going for the objectives/easier kills. So, to most, it is simply not worth it.

Most people just grind planes at these tiers. Most people who care about skilled aerial combat, play RB. It is also why AB is so deserted past 5.0 nowadays.

Poor game design choices which encourage seal clubbing by camping the spawn in energy fighters, which in turn, puts off people who want to grind planes in this game mode, and who figure out RB is a much much better choice in terms of xp, and a more enjoyable one in terms of not having to deal with garbage like this where the only way to unlock planes is to ignore anything that is not an energy fighter, climb and spawn camp. Repeat ad nauseam.

Spading bombers or attackers or heavy fighters or turn fighters is just an exercise in frustration in AB.

There's a different style of skilled aerial combat in AB, it's just everyone who plays AB believes they are the best player in the lobby. This is also why you see a lot of hate directed towards certain people who have figured out how to consistently shoot down other planes.

It would be good if a video, or at least end game results could be placed next to each claim, just so that we have proof. I would love it if gaijan could actually confirm claims, or do the spreadsheets instead of the players, as im sure they have the actual stats. Im sure we would see most planes top scores go up. Cant help but think most of the planes in the low 30s should be higher.

It would be good if a video, or at least end game results could be placed next to each claim, just so that we have proof. Dont care much, more thinking that these stats are probably highly floored if i have at least 1 that i know of straight up that i outpaced by a significant amount even if i dont get on the bored. But ill try add any i get to the list, although im not that great of a ''survival player''. The first screenshot on the list that bookends linked also shows a death for the PBJ, yet he is on the list? o.O

i only looked at like 4 photos and 2 had died......

 

I honestly cant imagine the best game for planes like the A6M2 is 14 kills, p51d-20 is 16 (both held by bookends). Like shouldnt all of these planes be mid 20s? even bookends the current record owners best games should be over 20 in these planes? 

 

The PBJ above, only 7 kills???? I could of sworn iv seen higher. Maybe i should go thru and just bump all of the lower stuff up as a bit of a personal challange, should i just post them here?

Well, some of them seem suspicious. Like with the kills by Shycat. I highly doubt that it’s possible to get 33 kills in the he-100. Honestly, since all of his records are below 2.7 and happened in  the same patch, i’d suspect that they were made in the beginner zone, against newbies and bots

Edit: looking at his screenshots, none of them show the score tables for the teams, only the end screen. I bet if you looked at the full results you’d see bots
