Ke-Ni B /  ケニB

Type_98_light_tank.jpg

This is one of the prototype of Type 98 Ke-Ni.

Some English websites says "B" means Otsu(乙), but its wrong. According to "Shikenshi" or other reliable documents in Japan says this tank name is ケニB/ Ke-Ni B.

This tank's feature is its suspension. Different to other Japanese tanks, it use Christie suspension!

Because of this, its speed it 55 km/h !  It means this tank is most fastest tank in Imperial Army.

Specifications (from "Shikenshi: History of Army 4th technical research institute" page 54)

Seems To Be A Worse Ke-Ni, But Still Gets A +1 From Me

Worse? It has a better gun and top speed compared to the Ke-Ni, while being the same in every other regard.

In any case, I definitely support this tank. It seems comparable to the Ke-To light tank, having the same Type 1 37mm gun while also having a better top speed (55 kph vs 50 kph). In return, the Ke-To would likely have a better reload due to its larger turret. All in all, they seem evenly matched.

I think that this tank would work as a premium, since it and the Ke-To would likely be in the same BR.

Anything with ke-ni to do is +1 from me. I love ke-ni and am still waiting for Type 1 37mm round for Japanese 37mm guns...
