DancingBare 58 Report post Posted June 1, 2018 How many silver lions doe it take to equal one gold eagle? I'm just too lazy to do the math and the rates change somewhat with the quantity you buy? Just asking.
Josephs_Piano 7,044 Report post Posted June 1, 2018 AFAIK there is no equivalence because they are not used for the same things - eg even when buying modules GE's are only spent by also using CRP's - not directly.
Nickinburg 241 Report post Posted June 1, 2018 It's something in the ball park of 1000 Silver Lions = 3 Golden Eagles. This is absolutely not worth the cost, since on average you'll be spending thousands of Golden Eagles on single purchases. Say you want to buy a premium plane or tank, a decent tier 3 or 4 vehicle will run you 3500+ GE. Which is in the realm of 3,500,000 Silver Lions. That's more than the cost unlocking, crewing and maybe experting the crew of a top tier Jet. My advice, just stay away from converting your currencies into anything. Don't use SL to trade for GE, don't use GE to convert to free research. The currencies are FAR more valuable by themselves. If you're short on SL, buy a premium vehicle through the store when they're on sale. Short on GE? Just buy the bundles of GE through the store as well. Pretty much ignore free RP, it's fairly useless and the conversion ratio in GE to Free RP is ludicrous.
DancingBare 58 Report post Posted June 1, 2018 Actually I'm not short on Lions, I have lots and lots of them. Just wondering if someone has 50 million or so what to realistically do with them, If I need Eagle or Prime, I just buy one promotions.
PlzDontKillDave 127 Report post Posted June 1, 2018 you use that 50 million and spend it on crew qualifications.
DancingBare 58 Report post Posted June 2, 2018 Most crews are spaded, but I don't see where I can use Silver Lions for crew qualification. If you want to speed things up you have to use Eagles.
Nickinburg 241 Report post Posted June 4, 2018 Do you play multiple game modes? What about high ranks? I typically float 20-30 million at any given time. I started in Air AB/RB and since then, I've not only fully spaded every single tier 1-4 plane in the game, but I've also paid for expert qualification for every single one, in at least one slot. I've also pretty much unlocked and paid for every jet as well, but I don't fly them very often so I haven't had a reason to expert the crews yet. With all this excess cash, I've taken my first steps into RB Ground Forces, and have unlocked up to tier 4 in a couple nations and some tier 5's in the German tree. So I now have things to spend those SL on. Buying new tanks, upgrading them, experting the crews, repair costs and ammo, etc. I also spend SL on re-rolling daily and special tasks. If I want some easy warbonds challenges, I'll re-roll them until I get something that I think I can do in a short period of time. For instance, if I get stuck with, win X amount of games while being in the top 1-2 position on your team. I'll always get rid of stuff like that, because not only does it require you to be the top player, but your team has to win as well, and you may have to do this multiple times. That's pretty unreasonable. So I'll spend the SL to find an easier task like, kill X amount of players using a fighter. The re-roll costs start out dirt cheap at like 1k SL, but go up to 50k SL per re-roll, and after that cost GE. Basically, there's no shortage of things to spend SL on in Warthunder. The higher up you go, the more stuff costs, so having a healthy bank account of SL is key to playing high tiers. And you can always branch out to new game modes, new nations, etc.
