Slipslime 660 Report post Posted June 3, 2018 (edited) As can be seen in this photo, there seem to be two 100mm turrets for the AMX-50 The one on the left is the one we have in game, but that vehicle happens to have the exact same turret as the Lorraine, or at least one that is built to the exact same specifications as can be seen in these screenshots Spoiler AMX-50 Lorraine 40T Here are some photos of what I believe to be the alternative AMX-50 turret Spoiler Note that the AMX-50 turret has a wider curve in the bottom section and no triangular bits on the sides, as well as the raised section on the left side. It also doesn't look like the M4's 90mm turret, as that one is lumpier and has a different muzzle brake without the raised section on the left of the turret Spoiler AMX M4 in game pics AMX M4 in real life I also managed to find this scrap of information that's supposedly about the AMX-50, but it's rather dubious given the source The hull slope angles match those that we have in game, about 55 on the front, 65 on the sides, and 60 on the rear. The front and side thicknesses are off, however Some screenshots of armor specs: Spoiler The full document: The tank in the picture is very clearly an AMX-50, as it lacks the triangular protrusions of the Lorraine and has the muzzle brake of the 100mm, though I'm not sure how trustworthy the document is. If someone could also translate the whole document that would be really helpful, I believe it's in Swedish Link to blog where I found this information So in light of all this information, I conclude that the AMX-50 we have in game uses the exact turret from the Lorraine, while there was another turret that existed that possibly may be armored better. This might make the AMX-50 a tank worthy of fighting alongside the Foch if I'm right. I'll try to keep digging, but the only source of information I have access to is the internet so I may not make much more progress than this. Please let me know if I have anything wrong or if I've posted in the wrong forum or something.
