Suggestions for next season BR brackets

Due to the changes made to br ratings this month Gaijin will look at doing different BR spreads next season.

 

Zerbah has said he will see any suggestions we have for next season's br brackets that are posted here are passed on to the developer

 

Current brackets:

 

BR 4.0
BR 4.7
BR 5.3
BR 6.0 
 BR 6.7 
BR 7.3
BR 8.0 
 BR 10.0

 

I assume we need to keep it that it's a different br each week and the last br tends to go over a bit due to needing to finish on the last day of the last month of the season

 

so for September/October it will look like this

 

Season Start

 

September 1st to September 9th

 

First bracket:

 

September 20th to September 16th

 

Second bracket:

 

September 17th to September 23rd

 

Third bracket

 

September 24th to September 30th

 

Fourth Bracket

 

October 1st to October 7th

 

Fifth Bracket

 

October 8th to October 14th

 

Sixth Bracket

 

October 15th to October 21st

 

Seventh Bracket

 

October 22nd to October 31st

 

Eight Bracket

 

Season End.

Why not pull through all 30 BR's? (Maybe a few exceptions)

That'd be 2 days per BR, plenty of variety. Just imagine competetive 1.0 dogfights, friggin awesome

bit unfair to the players who really only play at the weekends, they could miss some key brs

Most countries represent at those BRs or close enough to be competitive. I call it 6 on the 7's. I'm a little unhappy with the compression at the end there, but they do represent some real generational changes right there.

That was something we were also talking about.

 

i'd like to see 3.7 in the mix, I think it would be a good br as it cuts out a lot of the more ridiculous heavy tanks at 4.0 and also block out the TU-2 premium and SB2C 4.

 

But I'll be honest I despise 4.7 as a br.

 

One we were thinking was just to avoid the 4.0 br range and start a small bit later.

 

5.0 (kv-85 and comet bring a bit of variety and balance against the jumbo on the ground and the air gets a few new options that we dont often see in squibs.)

 

5.7 (kv-220 is still a problem, but it's a br with a lot of options for most nations air or ground)

 

6.3 (fun options for most nations except the uk on the ground.)

 

7.0 (a lot of what we like from 6.7 with some of the more interesting 7.0 tanks. Air might be a bit of a mess with arado spam)

 

7.7 (air mess might continue here with arado spam, but again a lot of options for every nation except UK)

 

8.3 (basically what was the prior 8.0, really only germany that outright suffers)

 

9.0 (allows for a variety of vehicles that have been overshadowed by the new top tier tanks to shine?)

 

10.0 (natural top tier)

Season for every last decimal (.0, .3, .7)

As much diversity as possible. This allows those black hole br vehicles to be somewhat useful and makes people spade stuff (=$). Invest some more thought in this mode to make it less monotone.

Since we are here and someone with some pull may be listening:

Get rid of dead tank view.

Idk how does the anti cheat system work but, if possible, all top 50 (at least top 20) squadron active players should be checked on a very regular basis. If someone with squib points is caught using something the whole squadron should be punished in some way. At the very least a ban from squibs for a season or 2 for all the players of that squadron (not just for that squadron but individually for all the players that were in that squadron at the time).

Multiple accounts is an issue but idk what to do about it.

I also despise 4.7, but this is the most predictable arrangement I could think of. 

 

What about

4.3

5.3

6.0

7.0

8.0

That gives a few larger jumps, but none too big. I do like getting 3.7 involved. 

 

All that said, I'm not fixated on any BR arrangement,  so starting at 5.0 wouldn't bother me either. I just like schedules that make sense rather than bounce around semi randomly.

I think this setup would be the most dynamic so people won't use the same planes/tanks twice and have to change their strategy from week to week(for example only one Arado spam week). It also gives 8.7 some love which is a little played BR because of the compression and 7.7/9.7 black holes.

Alright, suggestions about this subject is a good thing.

I will give BRs suggestions from a pilot point of view. In my opinion those BRs HAVE TO BE in the bracket.

 

What about:

 

Eventually 3.7/4.0

4.7 - lot of possible gameplays such as all ground (jumbos/ostwing/wirble/shermans) or with planes like fighters protecting ground attackers (He219)

5.3 - A7M, p47s, seafire and others, this is a really good BR

5.7/6.0 - spit mk18/seafire with classic tanks like t34-85 or panthers is really interesting

6.7 - spit mk24 as it was before, this doesnt have to disappear

7.0/7.3 - it depends if there are AAAs with radar in 7.3 ( then we should play 7.0)

8.0 - fight between g91s (some f84s as well) against radar aaas is interesting

10.0 - new tanks and mig gameplay, this BR has to be in the bracket we're all ok

 

I don't see a 8th BR to complete the bracket

 

You see that i don't talk about bomber strats but you can add it (BTD/B7A2/Do217/Tu2s)

4.3: Honestly the KV-1, Pz IV H fight, with the CAS of B7A2 and He 219 is really really fun)

5.3: The A7M2 duels now are far more interesting than the old marks 24s duels and the tanks at this BR are just fine and balanced)

6.0: Just cause the Tournament feeling of Panther As and Centurions is really enjoyable and the possibility of rocket spitfires is there

7.0: Don't Mad at me but i kinda got bored with Mk 24s, i prefer the Arado Spam with Kugels, it just needs a different BR from the pure duels of 5.3 and 6.0. The tanks are this Br are solid with T32 after buff option and the English guns or German guns that can still deal with it

7.7: Honestly just cause 8.0 doesn't exist in this patch

8.3: G,91s, T-62, T-10m, Chieftains, M60AOS or Starships and Sheridans, Radar Spaas. basically the old 8.0 with more interesting tanks

9.3: I like the idea of this Br cause it can give people the taste of top tier meta with a lower grind and good old fights between T-64s and Kpz 70s but with new variables like Xm-1 and T-62M. The air meta will be the same as 10.0

10.0: Well, u just must have the pure Top Tier Meta.

Last I heard from zerbah is that we might get a br bracket between 8.0 and 10.0

Edit: Actually I like that each bracket starts on the weekend now and I am glad not to have 4.0 and 10.0 dragging on like they did in the last 2 seasons.

IMO these changes are superficial - the BR's were different from season 1 to 2 of this year and then have remained stagnant through the upcoming 5th season.

Looks ok. 
Since "Tier 4 only" has been abolished it has given new life to SQB. Limiting number of planes to max 4 has also been well received. Seems that "someone" has actual knowledge whats going on in SQB. Congrats!

Did not care for 4.0 BR. Glad we're at 4.7. Killed lots of jumbo shermans. Wish 4.0 would drop to 3.7.
