Jiffylush 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2018 I use different email addresses in Steam and War Thunder. I purchased the Hunter Pack in Steam but it doesn't show up in my War Thunder account. I was directed by support to delete my saves folder and use the Steam Login. This logs me into a new account that is associated with my Steam login, but this is not the War Thunder account I have been using for years. gromvoiny 12,771 Report post Posted August 15, 2018 You have to link your Steam account to your War Thunder account - It sounds like you created new account accidentally already, request support help then. Jiffylush 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2018 My son and I have two steam accounts and two war thunder accounts. The issue is that his War Thunder account is associated with the email address for my Steam account. This was never an issue in the past as they were completely separate and you just used activation keys for Steam purchases in War Thunder. "Bind to email" isn't an option on the account, the button isn't there. I'm really just looking for the Hunter Pack that was purchased yesterday to be applied to his account but that seems to be beyond the technical ability of the support staff and I really don't understand why. I get that there is a language barrier but I keep going back and forth with support via email and I am not getting anywhere. I don't want to list out our account names and email addresses here but could provide you with a ticket number if that would help. Panssarikolonna 1,086 Report post Posted August 16, 2018 WHY DOESN'T SUPPORT ADD THIS ADVICE WHICH WORKS TO THEIR ANSWERS: Here is instructions for further use if your Steam creates accidentally new profile for you when buying DLC from Steam. 1. First thing to do is create ticket on Gaijin support page and ask support to remove your accidentally created ID (login with Gaijin account). It can be found My Documents/My Games/War Thunder/Saves folder. It is the newest one ID. 2. Delete all data on that Saves folder before proceeding 3. Login War Thunder Steam client with your email and password combo It will create your old id on Saves folder again (which you have been using normally) 4. On War Thunder game itself select user and click "switch user" 5. Login to War Thunder with your STEAM login (without email/user combo) 6. Your new content should be in old account and both are combined. If not try to relogin with STEAM login. You would think that after making a system wide change to the way you do business you would help users that have been with you for years adapt to the changes. Considering that the discussion on Steam is full of issues like this it is definitely something that needs to be handled better in the future. So, thanks I guess? From what I know, support team offered you a solution and asked to specify to what account exactly you want this DLC to be assigned to (since you have too many of them). By making a refund you only made things worse since such accounts are banned automatically. The keys system had a very huge downside since scammers purchased them with stolen cards and resold them on G2A etc, which resulted in bans of unsuspecting players later. I guess I delete the account that i bind with my steam account and im using another account but not binded with my steam account. Shortly my steam and wt accounts are not binded together and they are different. So I have same issue but i don't want refund.
