  1. 1. do you want to see a new structure to US helicopter Tree in the future when more content is added?

    • Yes, id certainly like to see US Army and USMC branched off as the variations they used differed between services

  2. 2. Do you like the Current Structure i have proposed?

    • Yes

    • I want a change to structure, but not quite the way you have proposed ( please share alternative ideas to split the tree )

I would like to make a suggestion to split the Helicopter tree later down the line as more content gets added. Since it makes no sense to Mix US marine corps helicopters with US army aircraft like the Ah1F s with the AH1Z ( or in the future with Ah64 Apache helicopters) since the USMC did not use those helicopters and neither did the US Army. Eventually the different services not just use different variations of the same family they eventually use totally different  helicopter types.

I have made a quick diagram to showcase my idea ; Blue Represent Aircraft already present, Red Representing Hypothetical additions/ Gap fillers ( personal Consideration)

To also note I decided to not branch off the trees until UH1B  since both US Army and USMC used the Uh1B and AH1G variations.

We could get US light helicopter tree.

500MD Defender w/ TOW

MH-6 Littlebird w/ Hellfire

OH-58D Kiowa Warrior w/ better flying capabilities.

I think maybe the starting helicopters could be the UH-1B & the AH-1G. However the AH-1G should have the AH-1Q upgrade for it. Just rockets is painful for a Gunship helicopter.

I think there should be 3 classes here at least.

-Gunship (They just kill stuff good!)

-Utility (Crew resupply for any vehicles)

-Scout (Scout ability & arty call in)

Thats a really neat idea and I would fully support that!

being able to call in arty and spotting would be a epic skill for light scout helis!

and maybe give utility helicopters the ability to deploy something, like sling load carry some cargo with ammo for the team, or give them the ability to deploy AI soldiers with RPGs or ATGMs (like in heliborne)

Are you out of your mind? 380,000 RP is needed for each helicopter and you want to split the tree because??

The TT can still be structured so that you only need to research four helicopters to reach a top tier one. That way, you can simply leave out the branches hou aren't interested in and focus on the ones you are.

I have little doubt this will change eventually.  As more of the Cold War is implemented, it is only logical that the system will go back to an exponential system.

i.e. this is a separate issue and some of us think in the long term and not “omg it’s 380k rp (right now)”.

+1, this is a great idea. I get the structure so far, but there are a ton of other helicopters that would need to be added to the tree. Just for a couple of examples, there are a lot more Seahawk and Blackhawk utility helicopters that could be added to the two utility helicopter branches.

Split the tree and add these two stealth bio’s to the U.S. Army side:

Bell 360 Invictus

Or…

Sikorsky’s Raider X.

They are both under development and we haven't quite reached the stealth era,

Besides there's still some additions needed for the current US techtree to reach the top, say the AH-64E Guardian, several AGM-114 variants and equipment such as AGR-20.

Knowing gajin, it will be a while before they add any competent armament for US

I like the idea in general although i heve some suggestions to improve it a little. Yes US Helicopter TT should have the most machines as it has IRL and there are sirius gaps in it.

For starters AH-1G as a starter helicopter is a bad idea. AH-1G due to lack of guided long range weapons and exeptional speed encourages early game rushes and in general does not prepare new players for what's to come in helicopter gameplay, plus it's developed from UH-1 and the UH-1 should be the starter helicopter. It could also allow you to play UH-1 as attack helicopter at somewhat lower BR. Not a huge change but should be a little more consistent with development continuity.

Historically US attack helicopters developed into two separate branches: US Army and US Marines where naval varians were requasted to have second engine. Other roles like utility and scout were filled by other machine types that were also armed but to a lesser extend than their attack counterparts so unless we see some new mechanics like scout ability for scout helis or in field reload for utility helicopters last two types are going to be just lesser versions of attack helicopters and would mostly be abandoned by players as they would not offer anything better than attack helicopters other than maby lower SP cost. Hellfires fired from UH-60 are as deadly as those fired from AH-64D but the platform can carry half as many but in compressed BR system that we have in game that would not translate into lower BR for such utility helicpoters unless we implement new mechanics for them and lower SP cost. So to make this kind of suggestion work, we need to also aside from BR remeber about SP cost, loadout options and additional mechanics.

That being said this is how i see this, and if you see some mistakes please correct me.
