Mac opening game zoomed

When I open the game the launcher comes up fine and how it should be but as soon as I press play when it opens it is zoomed in.

I have tried fiddling with the resolution. The first time I did it I changed the debug to 'Metal' and it worked fine but it won't open normally anymore.

any help would be appreciated as I cannot find anything that fixes the issue. :)

Got the same issue.

2018 13” MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro uses a 16:10 aspect ratio and the resolution I used before this issue arose, was 1650x1050. That’s a 11:7 ratio, not a 16:10 common ratio but regardless, didn't cause issues.

I can temporarily fix it by choosing a more common resolution like 1440x900, which is just below 1650x1050.

UI scale % has no effect on the issue.

Same issue, I updated to Mojave a while ago and didn't launch the game. Went to launch the game today and it's just zoomed in. So I made an account just to see this post.

I'm sure I played it since I installed Mojave. I think it's just since 1.83 – I had the same thing on one of the earlier Mac OSs but it was resolved very quickly.

I have an identical screen shot on my desktop.

27" iMac running Mojave. Was fine til the latest update. This is the whole screen NOT a crop.

Same problem here, have been playing with mojave for quite a while, just noticed this issue today. Changing resolution or window mode has no effect, neither does changing between metal and open gl. Does gaijin check this board? My first time using the forums

well, the only way I could get it to fit on the screen was to set the resolution to 1440x900.

I also had the same screen image when fiddling with the different resolutions.

I had that same zoom amount.

also in the settings of the computer itself I have changed the aspect ratio to smaller or 'more spaced' and it fits better.

730473980_ScreenShot2018-11-06at3_36_03p

the image is blurry because of the low resolution setting and it does affect the performance as the laptop doesn't run as well with a lowered resolution setting and at times it also does go glitchy and painfully laggy but the fps doesn't change even though it is glitching, making it hard to aim (planes and tanks). hopefully they can find a fix for this soon.

Interesting. I get a slightly different issue on my iMac 27 (also running Mojave). My desktop is 3200x1800 and i tend to play the game at 1920x1080. This is what I see...1641078925_Screenshot2018-11-06at10_55_0

It's like the final pixel along each edge is stretched to the edges of the screen.

Pretty distracting in-game...

How do you even manage to play with it like that? Have you changed the resolution settings from the launcher or in game so it fits in the screen?

Also when the resolution is set too small the outside area of the game for me goes pink and flashes rapidly forcing me to cover it over as it is really bright and annoying. Hopefully it isn’t a Mac issue and it is something Gaijin can fix as I won’t be changing to windows anytime soon. :(

Hi there,

I have this exact issue. I'm using a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018).

I was playing every night during this last week and the problem only appeared after yesterday's update (05/11/2018).

I tried changing the resolution, using windowed of full screen mode, or OpenGL vs Metal... nothing helped.

I basically can't play now.

Help would be extremely welcome. Thanks!

Have you tried changing the aspect ratio in the display settings of the Mac as well?

Nah, workaround isn't working. As I mentioned there, WarThunder doesn't show my resolution options, and I'd be surprised if it did for any mac user.

Bump.

1787955208_ScreenShot2018-11-07at3_53_45you don't have this option

Yes I've tried that with no result.

Still waiting for a patch.....

Game completely unplayable. They should compensate us for all the premium days we lost without being able to play!

Cheers guys

Guys, until this gets fixed, I have a temporary solution. Read carefully.
