I was going off of what was listed in the suggestion. None of that refit info is listed there.

In 1944 Kitakami was modified to Kaiten career.

Remove all torpedo tubes, Daihatsu and main guns, and it equip 2x twin 12.7cm AA gun, 12x Triple 25mm machine gun and 31x Single 25mm machine gun! (total: 67x 25mm)

 

Japanese designers seem very extreme
