@Uchinanchuu the rewards for bombing a base depend actually on the bomber a lot. Long gone are the times when one was able to farm incredible amounts of SL using the massive bomb loads of e.g. the B-29 or Tu-4. So the same bomb on a plane with the same SL modifier on the same BR will give you different SL rewards, certainly, since this was changed:

What a strange way of doing things.

I've been documenting all my times flying bombers lately, and only once have I sort of matched the values in that spreadsheet.

I got 912 SL for 0.238 tons of damage in the Halifax B Mk IIIa (I finished off a damaged bomb target then got shot down) which would be equal to 11,514 SL for a full bomb load (6x500lb plus 9x1000lb).  Every time after that, I only got about 2500-2600 SL per full bomb load, whether it's a bomb target or an airfield.

For the Lancaster B Mk I, I got only 2500 SL for a full bomb load of 14x500lb bombs on a bomb target and only 3900 SL for a full load of 14x1000lb bombs on an airfield.

Maybe they have recalculated those values since that chart was made.  Regardless, bombing seems to be a horrible way to earn money now.

one question - is there any formula that calculates the exact RP bonus u get from completely researching an entire tier of modifications?

sometimes you get the entire RP cost of a modification, sometimes just a fraction. guess it depends on the vehicle one intends to research using the vehicle trying to spade.

does anyone knows the formula?

P.S.: am i necroposting?

I was wondering, too, but right now probably only Gaijin knows. My observations are it seems to scale with the rank / RP cost of the vehicle you are spading. The vehicle which you research is of no concern, in particular you do not get any kind of deductions as otherwise if you research a Tier V/VI/VII with a Tier II for example. This is why I think some people used the Merkava 3 event to spade some of their rank II vehicles, and were basically using the spading rewards to research something way higher.

But I do not care too much for the exact formula because it is only a fraction of what it takes you to research the entire tier of modifications. In other words, if reseaching Tier X, stay within Tier X-1 to Tier X+1 to be efficient, and the spading rewards are just a gimmick.

:salute:

Despite Gaijin messing with the rewards (in particular the bombers) I hope the major concepts of this guide are still very valid. I guess that is why somebody decided to pin it. ;)

It means that you have researched all the modifications for that vehicle, which puts that ace of spades emblem over the vehicles avatar. I am not sure if you have to purchase the modification to have it unlocked or just have had to have it fully researched to achieve the spaded symbol.

Since that wasn't cleared up yet...

You need to buy every modification for the ace to appear, including every researchable ammunition
