crangon 2 Report post Posted December 25, 2018 I have read two pinned topics and I guess I am too dumb to understand how this works. 1. 2 years ago I have opened my war thunder account on Gaijin's website and used it ever since 2. I have installed War thunder through steam because of convenience 3. I have been buying DLC from Gaijin store and also Steam store all along and they have been activated on my Gaijin account automatically when I was launching the gane through Steam (Steam would ask me if I want to activate it) 4. I have NEVER logged into War Thunder with my Steam account. 5. About 2 hours ago I have purchased T34-85 and Plagis' Spitfire packs 6. For them to be activated I need to link my Steam and Gaijin accounts 7. I do that by logging in with my Steam account to War Thunder and linking it an email as described in the topic called "Linking email to Steam account" which explicitly states that I cannot use an email which is already used for an existing Gaijin account! How am I suppose to link my 2 year old Gaijin account to my new Steam purchases aka my Steam account? Which email am I suppose to use during the link process? Just use Steam login button on starting screen of the game and you will activate the purchases. It worked, it logged me in into my Gaijin account and purchases were activated. Not sure if it mattered but my Gaijin email was entered in the email field for logging in when I pressed login with Steam button. What matters is that you have to login with that email via Steam at least once before using Steam login button. Otherwise it will create brand new account with zero progress. Maybe a clear set of instructions should be pinned on the steam forum because it didn't even occur to me, and I'm sure many others, to come to Gaijin's forum looking for steam support.
