Vickers Mk 11 background

The Mk 11 was a private venture by the Vickers comapny in 1990's to produce a Wheeled combat vehicle that could act as both APC and tank destroyer. It was invisoned as part of a series akin to that of adopted CRVT or proposed MCV lines.  Unfortunately never adopted by the MoD only one demostrator vehicle was produced which is undergoing restoration after being damaged by a fire at a private collection. Although not heavily armoured the frontal arc of the vehicle was able to resist fire from up to a 12.7mm machine gun. The rest of the vehicle unly up to 7.62mm. It's primairy armament was an Royal Ordenance L7 low recoil 105mm cannon. In addition shares the turret of the Vickers Mk 5

How will it fit in game?

This will act as a top tier light vehicle for the British tree filling in the gap that is present for that type of vehicle, the primary way this vehicle would be used would be for getting to overwatch positions quickly and acting as fire suppoet, due to it's very light armour this couldn't resonably be used as brawler or hull down tank. It will need to use it's combination of mobility and firepower to move from fire position to fire posiotn rapidly. It would also be able to provide scouting for support.(basically think of this a British Centuro or TAM)

if its gonna be as broken as the centauro no thanks, but if its actually gonna have weaknesses then sure

It's weakness is it's not got enough armour to stop a .50 cal also it lacks ERA or composite or anything fancy like the Centuro

all for it. the UK lacks any kind of mobile AFV to complement their severe mediocrity at 8.7-9.7. the Viper (provided it has APFSDS) can give some diversity to a tree desperate for something other than the Challenger. +1

Pretty sure that APFSDS is the L64A4

105mm APFSDS L64A4

I can't track down a pdf of this booklet, but can apparantly pen a heavy NATO target at 4km

Would love to see this appear in the 8.0-8.7 range.  Looks a lot of fun.

Personally I feel 8.0-8.7 is a bit low for something like this, it's got a very good gun which I'm pretty sure is stabalized good speed and powerful ammo.
