Greetings and thank you for considering the following questions:

When using anti-aircraft vehicles, how do I target an aircraft? (I'm not seeing cross-hairs or reticle.)
Where may I find a tutorial regarding use of the tactical map for alerting other players to enemies?
Since I'm playing tanks, why can I not select a tanker icon for an in-game profile pic.

Thank you.

What mode are you playing...guess it does not matter actually...the reticle is only visble in zoom. On regular view...they only appear as circles within a circle, the lead and the actual position of the gun, until they merge again when the turret catches up. The lead indicator for the target appears at around 2.5 km....but I'd wait til it's a lot closer...at least 1.5 to 1...make sure to fire in front of the lead, this takes some experience and experimentation, except when it is coming straight at you

As to the other question...not sure

Thank you, Oldtimer1955.

I'm not seeing the reticle in either the arcade or realistic modes.
Being able to select the desired target might be the first step.  Yet, I'm not sure of how to select the target when zoomed in on it.  It seems that, sometimes, I've had luck doing this with the right mouse button or maybe the middle mouse button but the behavior does not seem consistent.
I use the left shift key to zoom and visually track the desired target and use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom out in case the desired target might be too far away yet the desired target does not become selected and the circle and reticle do not appear.

Until I get this figured out, the only way to upgrade my SPAA vehicles is capture zones and engage with ground vehicles.  This can't be making me very popular with my teammates since they seem to prefer partners who contribute to winning.

Edit...
I had some luck with arcade mode today but not with realistic.

  • 2 weeks later...

All SPAAs in arcade have lead indicator

Most SPAAs in realistic DON'T HAVE lead indicator...only the higher level ones...

In arcade you must first LOCK the target...not sure it it auto locks sometimes...

In the PS4 it is the X key (can be redefined or checked in the controls)...it locks the target closer to the aiming circle. When/If it is in range (the 2.5km) the lead indicator will ALWAYS appear.

The locked target changes color slightly...you see it when you press the key...

Then aim at the lead indicator and blast away...depending on target movement you have to compensate a little...but in all honesty, with so much things moving around, you usually aim for the lead and hope for the best...sometimes you wobble a bit to try to improve the chances...with enough rate of fire and as range closes you will eventually get an hit...
