Histroy:

The Akizuki-class destroyer "Akizuki" is an air defense destroyer built by the Imperial Japanese Navy. It was the first and last destroyer of the Imperial Japanese Navy, which was mainly engaged in air defense from the beginning, and played an active role in the Pacific War.
At the end of the Pacific War, Akizuki was equipped with an additional 25 mm machine gun and has excellent air defense capability, which makes it a good choice as a Japanese destroyer.

This blue painting is an official Japanese military drawing from a survey conducted in 1944 by Major Shizuo Fukui. It shows five 25 mm triple guns and 7 single machine guns.

In addition to 25 mm machine guns, there are also 13 mm machine guns. However, while the list says there is a 13 mm machine gun, the drawing does not show a 13 mm machine gun.
In 1947 after the war, according to an official document investigated by the Second Veterans Affairs Bureau under the order of GHQ, the 13 mm machine gun was not listed, so it was removed.

Akizuki class that showed in PV was early built state so in spite of this class designed as AA-Destroyer but in game it did not have enough AA power to defend itself. (Only 2x twin 25 mm MG !)

So I think Akizuki class after Operation A-Go is more better than early built one for game.

I love this sister ship Suzutsuki!

She took part in the operation Ten-Go(Yamato’s death) and made heavy damage, but played a miracle return.
