Extremely Low FPS on a brand new Mac Book Pro

Hi! I used to have a pc and would play war thunder all the time however after I recently got a new Mac I am getting 15-20 fps on the absolute minimum settings.

My computer specs and war thunder settings are attached

Please help I love this game a I don't want to stop playing.

Return the Macbook and replace it with a Windows Gaming laptop or desktop.

In all seriousness... the laptop spec are not .... great... yet alone good.... it is just ... meh. your CPU speed is 0.1Ghz above the min level and the graphic power... from my quick searches... are showing nothing promising. The turbo boost up to 4.1GHz is only great for short burst as they run them up to thermal max and forcing the processor/software to tune back the processor speed... Running War Thunder is not a short burst game and therefore you will not take advantage of the full turbo... you will get a bottleneck from that. The graphics card that is in that laptop is nothing to be excited for. It performs similar to a GTX 470M

Try lowering the resolution. That will help with FPS.

The Intel Iris is not a good GPU by any stretch.  I am running WT on a 2011 iMac with better specs and I keep it on low to be playable.  Integrated graphics chips are a no go for gaming basically, unless your other specs are amazing.  Then the GPU is usually better anyway.

Thanks for your help. The resolution really helped performance. While the game isn't quite as pretty as it was before its at least playable
